  7. Tractorgirl20, You can edit posts on here, you should have just added the link to yesterday's post, it would have had the desired effect of bumping it to the top. Nick
  8. Apart from soul-source, obviously, my favourite is https://www.soulwalking.co.uk/ Aimed more at the modern stuff, I find it's brilliant for artist info, new release reviews, bit of politics/opinions. A really good website. Nick

  10. Here you go; Nick
  11. I've always thought Simon Hunt should get more bookings, an excellent DJ. Another one that springs to mind is former Cambridgeshire resident Andy Killick, he's got some brilliant stuff. Nick

  15. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Love it. Wouldn't it be a boring old world if everybody liked/disliked the same stuff. Nick
  16. Any reasons behind the decision ? Run it's course ? Lack of people ? Problems with the venue ? I'd only been a few times, once at the TBI and found it an excellent night Thanks Nick
  17. Garv, I think you'll find Mike just copied & pasted the list over as he received it. I found it quite easy on the eye, particularly as I found my latest want Cheers Nick
  18. Same experience as me, but my postman comes hours after I leave for work. I'm half way though at the moment, looks like it's been worth the wait. Nick
  19. Indirectly the "Shades of Soul" tapes over the years were free (all monies received going to charity) these were/are brilliant and certainly opened my ears to some brilliant unheard of tracks over the years. Nick
  20. Jon, What difference does it make to where the group Osibisa originates from ? Please explain. I'll look forward to your prompt reply. Thanks Nick
  21. Agree with Chalky, stick 'em up on here for a week or so and see how you go. Nick
  22. Just out of curiosity Simon what records are you thinking of selling, there maybe folk on here with a few quid in their back pocket willing to relieve you of your records. Nick
  23. Thanks Rachel, I've read about these somewhere as well, saved me a job Nick
  24. Just a quick overview of some recent purchases: Does Anybody Know I'm Here - Kent Stand out tracks are Marvin Gaye "Soldiers Plea" Archie Bell "A Soldiers Prayer 1967", The Impressions "Don't Cry My Love" & the title track from the Dells The Return Of Mod Jazz - Kent, Love this series, brilliant for the car. Another Kent one, The Ovations Goldwax recordings, stand out trackd for me include "I've Gotta Go", "I Miss You Baby", "Pretty Little Angel" "They Say" & "Dance Party" I agree with the earlier comments about Cellarful of Motown, was really looking forward to it, but was very disappointed. One CD I bought earlier this year put keeps finding it's way back in to my player is the Soul Brother Records release "This Is Soul 2005" Absolutely brilliant, every one of the 16 tracks is superb, love it. One CD I'm really excited about is the new release from Stevie Wonder, Stevie has long been a favourite of mine and his latest release has been imminent for the last 2 years ! According to Amazon, the long awaited new CD from Stevie Wonder "A Time To Love" is released on Monday. Cheers Nick
