  1. The A-side to Daisy Burris' "Four Strong Winds" on Deesu, "In Love To Stay" is a great Allen Toussaint ballad.
  2. Here are scans of the Chick Willis 45...
  3. A great site indeed, thanks Dave! Here are some more corrections/ additions to the Seven B discography: 7000 - Phil Danna - Got Something Baby / I'll Be Gone 7033 - Kenneth Gillette - Dark Is My World / I Can't Lie To My Heart 7040 - Don Pittman - Java / Gonna Make A Vow 7043 - Larry B - Milo Schmidlapp / Give Me Hope

  5. Yes, at least that was the reason I placed a relatively high bid at the time.
  6. I won a Paradox copy of this on ebay about 5 years ago for around $50.
  7. Here's the ebay link: https://www.ebay.com/...R-/300620128231 You've Got The power is titled Don't Make Me Cry on the 45. It was in very rough condition, but still ended at $361.
  8. There was one on ebay recently in much better condition, which went for $79: https://www.popsike.c...0325030240.html
  9. A nice 45 indeed, both sides.
  10. Here's a picture: I also wonder how they can be safely removed.
  11. I wonder if he could be the same Hilton as on this Lodestone 45, also from New Orleans. Does anyone know?
  12. I don't have his Seven B 45 to compare, but here's a scan of the White Cliffs 45:
  13. Thanks, I've added it to the discography above. Do you perhaps know what the record is like?
  14. Dial 4078 by Perpetual Motion has "Neckin' Don't Make It" on the other side. The 2 Joe Tex sides are on Dial 4083. Perhaps the above is a mispressing?
  15. Is this also applicable to (40's and 50's) recordings for which the copyright has already expired?
  16. His five gospel 45s with the Sunset travelers on Peacock are also very nice: (The 5th is Peacock 1848 - Couldn't Hear Nobody Pray / You Are Blessed)
  17. The 45 has as artist name the singer in Bobby Valentin's band, Marcelino "Junior" Morales, on both sides (other side is "Que Pollito"): https://cgi.ebay.com/...5#ht_2196wt_846
  18. Fania 438 - Orchestra Harlow - Winchester Cathedral / Almas Olvidadas
  19. Fania 437 - Pacheco Y Su Charanga - Dos Gardenias / Bilongo
  20. I've got this one: Fania 431 - Johnny Pacheco - El Champolon / La Rebelion De Mayo
  21. The CD version is indeed faster. I've tried to upload that version but refosoul seems to be offline at the moment.
  22. One more addition to the Minaret discography: There are also various (non-soul) 45s on Minaret sublabels like Circle and Turret.
  23. There are 2 issues 125:
  24. I'm a bit confused now. Don't all copies have "music city" in the dead wax? My copy has the smaller font, so it's probably a later pressing. It has ZAFX-6806191 in the dead wax, is that also on all copies? Was it originally pressed only once (with the big font)? Is there a way to distinguish original Lanor records from later pressings in general (i.e. valid for other Lanor releases as well)?
