  1. somewhere in the back of my pea brain tells me the L.P was re-issued in the 80s/90s? I know the Crazy Cajun came out 1978(ish). The Teardrop 45 'Its Not The End' is a great tune (as you know) and one went on the bay last night for £355. Had a funky one by them on Teardrop years ago but can't remember the title. Want the L.p cause the 45s are out of my price range.
  2. Anyone got a copy for sale? Did it come out on another label? If so, I'd be interested in that also.
  3. What can I say...I knew it! That's a great piece of info Simon! Thanks.
  4. Was it the Trashmen on HBR? Anyway, suppose this version of 'Farmer John' could be considered 'boogaloo' so definitely a Mod type sound. Like I said though, the Northern side is GREAT!! Someone must have some info on the group?????
  5. Not sure of any others, but I can tell you that I had a Dearborn 45 which was C&W (pile of bilge) and it had 'an MSK production' on the label.
  6. Yes, a drag artist doing the clubs and circuits.
  7. Thanks for that John, a wealth of information as usual
  8. Hey John, wonder how much i'd get for my white End label (styrene) re-press (70s?)...it's even in a genuine End sleeve??? Great sound quality....are these (boots?) rare?
  9. These previously unreleased instrumental cuts are kosher...MSK productions are related to Dearborn in some way. My MSK 45 even came in a Dearborn sleeve!!!
  10. Recently purchased this Magnificent Seven 45 on 'New Groove'...fabulous piece of haunting northern/garage...got real potential. Never seen it listed anywhere, not in any of the price guides either... What I want to know is are they the same group who recorded on Dial & Eastern?? They are deffo blue eyed. Anyone got any info on the group or heard this New Groove 45? Flip is called 'Farmer John' and has some 60's funk overtones. Any info much appreciated.
  11. Their other one on Music Town is good too 'Does Your Mind Go Wild'...great northern.
  12. The boots are really good! I have one and it is a good quality repro. Original has the 'Frankford & Wayne' stamp in the run-out grooves.
  13. Camden Town....on the right hand side of the road as you go towards the lock from the tube station just after the clothes market place, go downstairs...loads of goodies...soul & ska/reggae on a good day.
  14. Are you gonna put the piccies up on here then?
  15. This scene did'nt invent the 'cover up'.....Jamaicans were doing it in the 50's & 60's! Mind, they used to scratch the names off the labels!!!!
  16. Hi Roger, I have the green Carrie one which sounds superb! Very clear and quality sound, the Jameco one is on it's way to me soon (I hope) so i'll let you know if there's any difference in the recording. BTW, the Jameco one is credited to Edward Hamilton & The FIFES. Thanks, John
  17. ] Hey 45 Cellar....what about this one you've missed...???
  18. Here's one for the list...Bobby Taylor 'Oh I've Been Blessed' (V.I.P) demo I have is red vinyl.
  19. I've done 3 volumes of JA soul from my personal vinyl collection so far, so i'd definitely be up for a swap!
  20. There's another one by Elvis on RCA /Victor....'Let Yourself Go' nice R&B sound, which I first heard at a local soul night in Macclesfield about 5 years ago.
  21. Why? There's been absolutely NO soul for at least 6 months!!! I've finally accepted that they (R.C) hate soul!
  22. Now sorted. Crazy Beat.. £30
  23. Don't forget the superb 'album only' 96 tears great stomper!
