  1. Was a legit re-release with an unissued Linda Jones tune on the flip by Warner Brothers.
  2. This one has a few surface marks (nap) so would probably want around £40 for it. Thanks for your help soul mates!
  3. seriously, £25 and rising...if you can get one, bit in-demand at the moment.
  4. Been to the car boot this morning, picked up some nice UK 45s including this dancer on TMG 864. What's the going rate for this? Also, I know it was on an L.P but was it ever released as a 45 in the States? Thanks John
  5. Hi Dave, I have the Petites. Do you still need a scan?
  6. There is a Stax (blue label) re-issue? with Johnnie Taylor's 'Blues In The Night' on the flip. Great sound quality but I don't know it's origins.
  7. Had it years, but have since put it in my 'funk' box because to me it's more akin to that sound than Northern, especially the flip too!
  8. Magicians - An Invitation To Cry is on Columbia and are a white garage band.
  9. Mine's the same and I got it from Soul Bowl about 10 years ago, never booted as far as I know?!!!
  10. Oh Yes! my copy is actually on the all brown TROJAN label from 1972. Just added this to one of my home compilation 'This Is Jamaican Soul' cds, had it in the car the other day (the cd you filthy minded lot!) and thought what a fabulous piece of crossover soul this is!
  11. Pm'd you Pat re- Jay Wiggins 'My Lonely Girl'
  12. Themes came on on UK Kent about 4 or 5 years ago.
  13. Just to add my two peneth worth Nev, I love Joe Jama! First time I heard it I thought WOW!!!
  14. I have Dee's (FXD 110) Dee's Special - Sir Dee / Gonna Look For My Girl - Lloyd & Cecil What about this one here Pete, ever seen one of these???? Rocksteady by the way (UK recorded)
  15. Lovin' Spoonful did a credible version of 'You Baby' too..
  16. Had to laugh at the description.... 'imports' ???????? since when does popping out the perforated middle section of a UK record make it an import? He does live in London so NO EXCUSES!!
  17. Absolute classic in the Rocksteady genre! A want for most people who are into this stuff, me included! The Uniques (with Slim Smith) are one of the best groups to come out of JA, so soulful. I've got loads of UK Island but not one Uniques 45 on this label, they always get snapped up! What's on the flip Pete? Bet it's a good un' too!
  18. The flip of Little Herman 'Gotta Keep On Walking' is far superior!!! (imho)
  19. Millionaires? (no, not how solvent they are! The group name!) Don't think I'm right, just going by the lyrics...('and the rains came')
  20. If it's not Bunny Siglar, what about Benny Latimore???
