  1. Yes, and I'm pretty sure that the L.P has a different take on it.
  2. Hey Chris, do you have any P.P Arnold 'Everything Is Gonna Be Alright' Immediate re-pressings floating about for sale?
  3. Have you received it yet? That's a bargain price!
  4. I've had the Platters twice...both with reversed labels. Also, I need the Phil Terrell...if it's only a fiver I'll have it off someone....
  5. Look at his other items...photos....think he's a teenager. If you look back at his feedback there's a few Clara Hardy's on there...
  6. I have a superb condition (EX +) UK London demo of Lou Johnson 'Unsatisfied' with a skip!! Anyone make me an offer for the record if they think they can fix it...
  7. Had mine last week....stunning magazine, the best out there! Not read through it all yet (been on a management course at work)....but what I have...wow, the research is second to none!
  8. And as a USA 45....flip of their 'I'm Not Built That Way' re-press / boot / re-issue...whatever
  9. I've always been a bit perplexed as to how these insurance companies work it with rare records.??? When I went to my bank for one of those stupid meetings they call you in for, the banker ( ) asked if I had anything of value. He was particularly interested when I told him about my records. Alas, I could only insure them as the whole collection, not individually, then if I had a fire and all went up in smoke, I would have to prove what their value was.....yea right, and they're gonna believe it!! It's more likely that my 2 year old daughter will get hold of one and run it along the floor etc....for that they say, they will NOT pay out!
  10. Yes, booted, white label black text. I have a boot somewhere, stick on label, styrene if I recall.
  11. Well, as promised, the artist. Further investigation has revealed that the "Phil" on the label refers to the Phillipines, and not Philadelphia (in any case, I was imagining it sounded like something from Texas or somewhere like that). Also, I now doubt my original assumption that a Grandells from Italy must be some other band - I now think, from some bio information, that they're probably one and the same. Further, the flip (which is probably the a-side, and which seems the lesser song to me) is uploaded to youtube. And, finally, somehow when I searched Gemm this morning I didn't notice that there's a copy for sale there for 6 bucks (so my dreams of a big score evaporate, and the kids get nuttin' for Christmas this year!).
  12. I quite like it. But I am a sucker for blue-eyed soul/garage outfits. Sounds late 60's possibly early 70's to these ears. Definitely could be played at a Northern venue.
  13. Presume we are talkng about the same record by Lorretta Williams on Jotis?? I didn't even know there were any more versions??
  14. Maybe it IS the Larks...I mean, they did the 'Penguin' now the 'Batman'...there's a theme there somewhere I'm sure....
  15. It's on the 'Make It Happen' L.P ...later re-titled 'Tears Of A Clown' (cos that was a huge hit!)
  16. What!! Rarer than their first one on Okeh???? .......or is it?
  17. NO! B side is 'I'm Calling You'
  18. Agree with you there mate...100%!!! When I first heard (early 80's) I thought it was gonna be an expensive tune, image how pleasantly surprised I was when I got one for a fiver!!
  19. Gotta be £50 tops for a mint US... I think the UK release is harder to get.
  20. Bill, here's the scan as promised re my pm. Click to enlarge.
  21. I have a copy on Trojan I may be tempted to part with. Not 100% sure of condition so I'll root around and dig it out. I'll let you know ok. John
  22. One of my favourite L.P's too!! Been raving about this album for years. A definite sequel to 'Soul Superman'.
