  1. I see that particular one had a pattern of circles/rings on the blank side, my copy has a checkered pattern! Strange release, but a great tune.
  2. All the way! Especially with Mr.Ruffin on lead.....
  3. Manship had 'Majestic' listed @ £50 in the previous price guide. I have a copy and think it's got good potential.
  4. I bidded on that! Didn't think anyone would want it with no cover, I managed to get ONLY the cover a couple of hours earlier for £5.20 and thought I'd get that vinyl to match it up. I think I went to about £11 for the vinyl. Here's the cover I got a few hours previous.... https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=280348420248 I was gutted, it didn't last long though.....I got the vinyl off Gemm for half that price!
  5. Yes, complete rip-off re the 'Volt' label....nice looking though!
  6. Not sure I've ever heard it by John Holt?? Prince Buster did a version.... ..and so did these...funky reggae version... Also came on UK 'Explosion' (Trojan) 45
  7. Mmmm, not sure what UK release your mate is talking about (TMG series? not one I know of) but the white label 45 came out in the late 90's/early 2000's with large USA type centre, of dubious origin . Someone may be able to clarify a 1970 UK release.....
  8. Wasn't this L.P only ('Thats The Way Love Is) then put out on the flip of 'Lonely Lover' white label 45? Don't think it got an 'official' 45 release????
  9. Got their second album through the post this week, 'Colonization' and it's superb, garage, psych and beat (also contains 'I'm Just Waitin'). I've seen their first album go for a few hundred dollars! Great group.
  10. Definitely...if I knew your name!!!!
  11. ....'I'm Just Waitin' on Sentar. Blue-eyed (Philly?) outfit. Great tune, brought to my attention by someone on here who had it in his recent 'home' playlist. Made it my business to seek a copy out, cheap too! (at the moment). Has it been played out? Is it well known? It's not in John Manships book and it's a cracking piece of Northern Soul ala 'Garage' style. Written by T.Orlando who I guess is one 'Tony' of Dawn & 'Tie A Yellow Ribbon...' fame. He is not a band member by the way.
  12. I paid £25 for mine. Previously unissued, so the only way to get it.
  13. I dig the 'USA' flag design label, especially when they come in the sleeves (very hard to get!). Not 100% Northern soul on the label though, some great garage bands too. As you know, when they did release Northern tunes, they are some of the most sought after 45s in the genre.
  14. Definitely £60 for Gene Chandler....at least! Like John say's. A brilliant tune with awesome flip.
  15. Presuming they are the blue-eyed group who's lead singer was Joe Stampley? Had a lot of realeases on the 'Paula' label, some garage, some Northern stompers. Is it they?
  16. sorry about that! I clicked my last post 8 times!!! I didn't think it was working.....oops.
  17. I have a fairly rough copy that plays great. I've pm'd you ok.
  18. I have a Radiants - One Day I'll Show You / Father Knows Best (Chess 1832) EX+ (one light surface mark). I live in Kings Lynn, you can always pop round and pick it up/play it if you're interested I've PM'd you. John
  19. It's on the 'Talk Of The Grapevine' L.P (GRAL 1000). Produced by Richard Wylie, possibly around 1967.
  20. Yes, Grapevine L.P only. Another quality track using the 'Going To A Happening' backing track. From Hestor's vaults, unreleased in the 60's. A gem!
