  1. Not rare, nice pop/soul version of Jackie Edwards original also released in the UK on Island (1965).
  2. ...can't remember now, think it was an early 70's male thing.
  3. I do have an emi disc of this. Does that count?
  4. I had a bad deal with this guy (Mamie Giattino) a couple of years back. What I really couldn't understand was the fact the he actually sent me a letter asking me to drop my paypal claim and then he'll post the records!! Why didn't he just post the bloody records instead of wasting time (and a stamp) on a letter that I just ignored anyway. He then un-registered from ebay and I never got a penny back. Luckily I paid with my credit card so I got a refund off my credit card company. Loser.
  5. I suppose after the success that the Spencer Davis Group had with Jackie's 'Keep On Running', Mr Fontana thought he might try his hand at one of Jackie's tunes. Not a bad effort really.
  6. Just played your last 'clip' Pete...Wayne Fontana...well I never!!!!
  7. Well, the 'Magic' label (bootleg from about 1969) had the Jackie Edwards 'Feel So Bad' but had an original Island UK stamp on the run out (WI 3006). As collectable as the 'Soul Sounds' series too!
  8. If you look at his listing for Eddie Ray Greg he quotes 'Alt take'.....so I guess that's a recent press.
  9. Mostly demo's out there...issue is RARE!!!
  10. What album is Four Tops - Save It For A Rainy Day, from?
  11. I have the Gloria Henry, great little unknown with a slab of heavy FUNK on the flip, not listed anywhere and I can't say what it's worth as my copy was a junk shop find many years ago. I suspect that it would probably sell more for the funk side than the northern side.
  12. Both sides get my vote! Bought the 'good looking' boot a few years ago now, wonder what they go for? Bet they're not easy to aquire anymore? edit...in fact I remember seeing one for sale last weekend on a list for £50!
  13. UK reggae outfit I believe.
  14. Oh, I never noticed, but then I only have the L.P and don't have the 45. Thanks for the info.
  15. Here's one definitely worth a mention; 'King Floyd - Take The Place Of A Dying Man' on V.I.P....nice!
  16. Larry Santos came out on a 45, that's why it's not mentioned. Only massive instrumental tracks I can think of from L.Ps are 'Six O'Clock' and 'Afternoon Of The Rhino' so it could be either of those?
  17. ...that's because he's actually put '2nd issue'....
  18. Ha!! That's record collecting for you! I was after a copy of the Admirations 'Don't Leave Me' on One-der-ful...., bought a copy then realised I had it all the time! Doh!
  19. I've pm'd you regarding that 45. If you still got it I'll have it for a tenner.
  20. Great tune! Blue-eyed I think (?)
  21. I'd be interested in The 'Busters All Stars' Skahara. If you want to sell it PM me
  22. No, it is a kosher track by them. It came out straight after 'The Same Old Thing'.....
  23. Were they a 'Blue Eyed' group?
  24. An absolute stormer of a track! One I always play out.
  25. There's a thread about this 45 in the 'Look In Your Box' section with some links to buying it. Great tune! Good luck
