  1. What album is Four Tops - Save It For A Rainy Day, from?
  2. I have the Gloria Henry, great little unknown with a slab of heavy FUNK on the flip, not listed anywhere and I can't say what it's worth as my copy was a junk shop find many years ago. I suspect that it would probably sell more for the funk side than the northern side.
  3. Both sides get my vote! Bought the 'good looking' boot a few years ago now, wonder what they go for? Bet they're not easy to aquire anymore? edit...in fact I remember seeing one for sale last weekend on a list for £50!
  4. Oh, I never noticed, but then I only have the L.P and don't have the 45. Thanks for the info.
  5. Here's one definitely worth a mention; 'King Floyd - Take The Place Of A Dying Man' on V.I.P....nice!
  6. Larry Santos came out on a 45, that's why it's not mentioned. Only massive instrumental tracks I can think of from L.Ps are 'Six O'Clock' and 'Afternoon Of The Rhino' so it could be either of those?
  7. ...that's because he's actually put '2nd issue'....
  8. Ha!! That's record collecting for you! I was after a copy of the Admirations 'Don't Leave Me' on One-der-ful...., bought a copy then realised I had it all the time! Doh!
  9. I've pm'd you regarding that 45. If you still got it I'll have it for a tenner.
  10. Great tune! Blue-eyed I think (?)
  11. I'd be interested in The 'Busters All Stars' Skahara. If you want to sell it PM me
  12. No, it is a kosher track by them. It came out straight after 'The Same Old Thing'.....
  13. Were they a 'Blue Eyed' group?
  14. An absolute stormer of a track! One I always play out.
  15. There's a thread about this 45 in the 'Look In Your Box' section with some links to buying it. Great tune! Good luck
  16. The Benn-X 45 is well worth seeking out, used to be a tenner but don't know now. The flip is also a gem! Got it filed with my original USA 45s
  17. Mick, Mary Wells' 'When I'm Gone' was originally on her 'Vintage Stock' L.P (US Motown 653), although I'm not sure if my copy is stereo, don't think it is as it doesn't say so I'm presuming it's mono.
  18. Often wondered if any 'soul fan celebrities' like Craig who plays Lloyd are members on here? Bet he is reading this thread right now....
  19. This is what it's all about when selling records....and how you get respect. Nice one Chris.
  20. A very interesting site indeed! Thanks for posting it up (now added to 'my favourites' list). The Majestics on Linda, according to this, recorded 'Say You' on V.I.P which I thought was Richard Street & The Monitors.....I'm confused??? https://www.blogg.org/blog-65325-billet-_the_majestics__2_-1106786.html
  21. https://www.blogg.org/blog-65325-themes-blenders__1_-169132.html Here's The Blenders....look at their 1971 record on Kelway 101...... anyone heard it!!!!! Wouldn't have thought it got much plays on the radio, even in the more liberal 1970's!!!!
