  1. I have a copy of The Halleluiah Chorus (not Choirs) - I've Got To Find A Way (Nickel). I honestly didn't think anyone knew it except me!!! A nice mid-tempo tune in the x-over vein. I'll p.m you ok. John
  2. Tell you what, watch out for the boot....almost identical and a good £50 even for that!!!
  3. Here's the L.P 'Sabato Sera'.... car boot find many years ago (late 80's i think), nice laminated sleeve, black Durium label, thick vinyl, Italian.
  4. I got it on both RCA orange UK and black UK, both with Mike McDonald on the flip, is the black RCA a later one? Both identical (except for the colour of course!).
  5. There's also a version on their 'Minit' L.P 'Soul Shakin', albeit slower.
  6. Yes, quite agree. Was still surprised at the final price though! Happy days
  7. Majestee's Take Back All Those Things C/w Let Her Go Back in the very early 80s I had the pleasure of spending a week at Bob Mayes Record Shop in Detroit. Whilst I was there with my long-term pal Andy Cox the owner of MUTT RECORDS in Inkster dumped all his surplus unsold 45s there. Dusty Wilson, Sophisticates, Carol Jones etc. etc were all there including the Fred Bridges & Robert Eaton 45 credited to the “Two Fellows”. But easily the best of the bunch was this vocal-group killer again featuring the talents of Fed Bridges & Robert Eaton. I gleefully scooped up all copies of this previously unknown Northern Soul stomper. In the last 30 years I nor anyone else to my knowledge has actually found a Mint minus copy. The original small batch have changed hands in the UK for almost 3 decades now. We think the time is right for this beauty to gets the turntable time it has always deserved and then watch the value rocket. Two great sides on a “once” found title. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 478.00 Nearly £500! Bought my minter from 'Soul Bowl' around 10 years back for about £30.
  8. Sorry Benji, the Platters 'Get a Hold Of Yourself' is the same backing!
  9. That's the Platters track too....'Get A Hold Of Yourself'...the same backing!
  10. It shares the same backing as one of the Platters Detroit tunes too, can't thinkoff hand but possibly 'Going Back To Detroit'.
  11. ....but it's ok to play the 'Kent 100 Club Anniversary' 45s?? I've heard these at serious nights. I suppose it's different for 'previously unissued' UK 45s? Some mentioned by Nocker will be fetching top dollar in the future (well some of the Grapevine 70's series already!).
  12. Johnny Wesley - You Still Need Me (Melic) Pepsi-Tones - Keep On Walking (Pepsi Presents) Tony Owens - This Heart Can't Take No More (Soul Sound) Seth Martin - Look At Me (Page One UK) Tim Rose - I Got A Lonliness (CBS UK)
  13. Superb blue-eyed Soul tune. The nucleus of 'Rare Earth' of course.
  14. ....he's quite good aint he!
  15. That reminds me, £10 for D.Banks UK Stax demo ('I'm The One Who Loves You') in a Norwich record shop about 8/10 years ago, Passed it up as I thought it was an easy one to get!!!! Oh, and bypassed £25 for Billy Hambric (Drum) from Ian Clark....Norwich record fair...probably on the same day!
  16. Yes, Independence and MCC. I had them both too but sold the Independence copy, MCC is the first release (or so I'm lead to believe). Quite surprised how cheaply I picked them up, maybe 'cos they are sometimes listed under 'Garage'. Love the stop start towards the end and the horns fading the record out! Brilliant tune.
  17. Well it is a 'proper' one if you collect UK only? First and legitimate outing for both sides on UK vinyl
  18. Just to help you out a little, it's on the 'Isley Brothers' L.P on Starline SRS 5098 and includes 7 previously unissued tracks of which 'It Moves Me To Tears' is one.
  19. Yes, I think you are right Sean, that's the only rational explaination. I will rest easy now!
  20. According to the Terry Wilson book 'Tamla Motown - the stories behind the UK singles'..., TMG 787 The Elgins 'Put Yourself In My Place' carries 'Little Miss Sweetness' on the flip. Quote "a version of 'Little Miss Sweetness' which The Temptations also recorded in 1966". Well, I now have two copies of 787 (after buying a second off Richard Domar for £6 thinking it would have this 'B' side) and both have 'It's Gonna Be Hard Times' on them!!! So what's the score then? Did 'LMS' by the Elgins ever come out? And why such a glaring mistake in an otherwise excellent UK TMG discography?
