  1. Spot on Nige! The Tie 45 in your picture Patto is the same as the one I bought about 15 years back and that cost me £15 which was high money for a boot then. My mate got one with a stamped date on long after I got my (stampless) copy. Daz is right, anything upto about £80 although I once saw one on ebay go through the roof, £1,000+.....listed as an original no less but definitely one of these!!!
  2. Didn't realise these 45's were part of a set? I got the 'Everything's Gonna Be...' on the 45 in your pic, on it's own, no gate fold cover, £20!!! Guy told me it was a scarce UK re-issue.
  3. There's a Charlie Rich budget L.P on Hallmark that turns up regular called 'Those Midnight Blues'....obviously that's on it, so is the superb 'What's My Name?'...a great haunting mid-tempo tune.
  4. Great piece of R&B, wasn't aware anyone knew it except me!
  5. Kenny Carter 'What's That On Your Finger' was on Stardust, would that be considered worth owt as it was never issued anywhere else?
  6. My demo is yellow, thought RCA-Victor demo's were white?
  7. I love it too Dani!!! Got a red stock copy, had to prise it out of my mates hand several years ago now. Always thought it would go big but it's still a bit of an unknown.
  8. Yes, think so. red USA label, NOT the UK SOS boots that came out in the late 70's/early 80's
  9. I was always under the impression that they are late 60's, northern but a bit slower? I'll get me coat.
  10. Not 100% sure, but think it's E.P only. Cracking version though!!!
  11. Whats on the flip, the same as the Carla one or the Karen one??
  12. There's also a great version by Geno washington on Picadilly too, should be a tad easier to get.
  13. As a collector of Soul L.Ps (especially 60's) it would be nice to have a sort of dicography with colour photos of the covers and highlight the tracks to look out for, I spoke with John Manship about this ages ago and it's something he could put together, or Tim from Manchester (Anglo American). Not necessary as a price guide but a guide.
  14. Went to Holland and visited one of those funny cafe's with those funny cigarettes I reckon
  15. L.P is nice condition, no clicks....however it's now sold.
  16. Yes, Desmond Riley and Winston Riley are two different people, Desmond sang ('Skinheads A Message To you' among others) and Winston was a producer.
  17. Got the L.P 'See You In L.A' (Ensign UK 1979) if that's any good to you? Has extended (12"??) version of 'See You In L.A'. I know you want 7" but if anyone else is interested make me an offer.
  18. 'Hit & Run' ...The Debonaires? Didn't know that, nice one Bri. BTW suinoz, DoniBurdick -Bari Track is available on one of those 'Soul Galore' re-issue 45's from the 70's.
  19. Funny how this R&B swinger isn't listed in any of the price guides?? My copy has some kind of vinyl stain at the start causing a slight hiss before the music kicks in. It's for sale but I don't know a value?
  20. I have that record, It's called 'Summers Gone'....however I think the one on the link is a different artist to mine. I can't even remember who my copy is by, a white artist and I know it had a good flip too. I would dig it out, now if only I can remember who my version is by?????
  21. Not sure if these really count but there's a great version on a cheapo Motown L.P 'Motortown Hits' on Hallmark, obviously by some session musicians. Also a version on one of those 'Avenue' e.p's that were cheap immitations of pop/soul hits, Alan Cassidy I think?
