  1. No release mate, CD only I believe.
  2. Anyone got a scan of the first one? I believe the first take is on one of those 'The Northern Soul Story' L.P's....volume 3 I think.
  3. Mike & The Censations, flip of 'Don't Mess with Me' (Highland) 'There Is Nothing i Can Do About it' ...brilliant beat ballad.!!
  4. Huns Review - Don't Make Me Love You - Sorro....car boot sale in the 1980's ..10p, thought it looked 'Northern' so took a chance (lol!). Sold it to a mate for £60 then decided I needed it again and got a minter for £50. Majestees - Take back All Those Things (Mutt) ...Soul Bowl £30, bought it 'cos it was Detroit...lovely! Delegates Of Soul - I'll Come Running Back (Up Look) ....Soul Bowl £30 'cos Andy Davies recommended it, I took it home, played it and was disappointed!!! I didn't really like it. Traded it for £60 of other tunes....realise now I made a mistake and I love it...doh!
  5. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/KENNY-CARTER-WHATS-YOUR-FINGER-/180793748943?pt=UK_Records&hash=item2a1825adcf If Stardust is legit then this Kenny Carter 'whats that on your finger' must be worth having as there's no other vinyl release?
  6. It's easily obtainable if you don't mind L.Ps. The L.P used to be everywhere...car boots etc and is on a budget label 'Hallmark' I think. It's called 'Midnight Blues' and has a couple of really nice R&B/Soul tunes as well as the title track..
  7. Hopefully, if Jonathan's local paper has got hold of the story some residents of his town/city may start a collection for him so he can purchase some of the damaged records. I'd definitely try that route Matt.
  8. That is some bad luck! I hope he has a swift recovery.I don't have any of those records but good luck in your search.
  9. Looks good, didn't realise Jimmy McFarland was a blue-eyed soulster.
  10. Is that one of the RCA cd's Ady? Volume 3 by any chance?
  11. NEVER LISTEN TO B SIDES??!! Time you started Steve, you'll miss some corkers!
  12. Too lazy to research...reminds me of the time 'Atomic Kitten' were on some show singing 'The Tide Is High' and the female host proclaimed "nice version of the Blondie original".....made me shout at the TV..."it's the bloody Paragons 1967 aargghhh!!!!!"
  13. Thought Gino washington (the 'Detroit' guy) guest sang with them too?
  14. That is brilliant Neil, thanks for sharing that story about the Atco release
  15. There is a cheaper release, still on HIB but an Atco release, not 100% sure of the ins & outs of it but it is legit. I paid £25 for an Atco release (orange HIB) but that's about 15 years back!
  16. There you go.... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dynamics-Need-Your-Love-RCA-New-Release-Northern-Soul-Hear-/260913853912?pt=UK_Records&hash=item3cbfad75d8
  17. It's one of those 'Outta Site' 45's Ady...lookalike labels but has a star on it. Thought they were a legitimate company? I do remember them on the RCA cd that Kent put out....is there going to be a third volume?
  18. ....just heard The Dynamics 'The Girls Got Soul' on a RCA re-press 45. absolutely superb tune! Is it previously unissued?
  19. Re- James Carr - Yes B&C is the original UK 45
  20. The 45 came out on 'Smash' but as the other chaps have said is a boot....but it is the ONLY way to get it on 7 inch.
  21. Also came out in the UK on Jay Boy, probably a cheaper option but still original (if you collect UK!).
