  1. Click on my 45, you'll see 'Bellsound' stamp. Original, no doubt.
  2. ORIGINAL black hexagon shape around outside label. Boot does not have this
  3. Yeah, like you say 'dtdrug', the 'Sounds Superb' LP version is a different take. I never really noticed until someone on here mentioned it a couple of years back. The UK TMG 45 is everywhere, car boots, charity shops etc, I think I have purchased it for 25p on many an occasion then gave them away to friends who wanted to know a bit about Northern Soul. Still goes down a treat at our local soul nights.
  4. Ah, what threw me was that you titled it 'watermelon man'
  5. Interesting that the Five Counts has the title 'watermelon walk' instead of MAN...is this the flip?
  6. Just added to my favourites...
  7. Can someone post a sound clip of 'Hertbreak (Awful Day)' ??
  8. Jimmy Conwell - Too Much (Gemini stamped) Caesars - Girl I Miss you (Lanie) Both £4 each from a shop here in K/L, seller seemed to think they were boots even though the Caesars has never been booted!
  9. Certainly cheaper than I thought they'd be on UK Pete! There's no UK copies on ebay (a couple of US). It may go higher now its been exposed. More MOD than Northern though.
  10. There's a UK copy on 'MusicStack' for £6.30, the seller had 2 copies, I've just bought one.
  11. Happened to me via ebay, 'lost' 45 to France (Paris). Obviously ebay won't compensate the seller and always find in buyers favour. I claimed off the Royal Mail in December and got refunded by them in January. they'll pay up as long as you got reciept and proof of the price it sold for.
  12. I have a copy of Gaslight in EX+ for a tenner if you still need it. John EDIT..sorry you're sorted, my mistake.
  13. The first Yarmouth weekender 1989 (I think?) Chuck Jackson & H.B Barnum....both superb!
  14. No one sang it...it was an instrumental 3 points to me then.
  15. None of my lot above have Northern sides, although the one on King maybe Funk?
  16. Nobody's Child - all my friends call me a fool (Sound Of Soul) Eddie & Ernie - Thanks for Yesterday (Revue) Arthur Prysock - in the rain (Old Town) Jimmy Docket - I Got It/Here in my heart (Flo-Feel) weekknights - what did I do wrong (Black falcon) Ted Taylor - it's too late/I need your love so bad (CNR) Dutch? Mirettes - The Real Thing (revue) Lenny welch - My heart wont let me (commonwealth united) Tymes - wonderful wonderful (Parkway) Howard Tate - Part-Time Love (Verve) Linda Jones - it wont take much (Loma) Johnny Nash - Amen (MGM) Impressions - just one kiss from you (ABC Paramount) Bobby Angelle - I'm Begging (Money) The Establishment - in my heart i'm a free man (King) Persuaders - All Strung Out On You (Atco) Just a small selection sitting in a box - all ballads
  17. Apologies if it's just the typeset/font you're talking about Gerry.
  18. That looks like the one I have, some came with the talking intro (the one pictured) some without so those missing the talking intro just has the title 'Dead End Street'. Of course everyone knows the intro version is the best by far!
  19. NO blue boot. Boots are only white. Both the blue issues in the above post are originals.
  20. Buy some A4 glossy sticker paper from a stationers, google some 'Northern Soul images' and print your own. I do that for my USA Marvel comics boxes.
  21. Also came out on a dubios looking black label 45 (Soul... something or another?) backed with the Detroit Prophets (Originals) faster version (and some say the best) 'Suspicion'.
  22. That particular 45 by the united Four sounds good, Outta Sight have also released The Dynamics' brilliant 'The Girls Got Soul' for the first time on vinyl. I don't mind buying these kind of releases if they are legit and previously unavailable.
  23. So what if they are previously unissued sides? Like these..... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/160739706147?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
