  1. Yeah, 'tis true I'm afraid! Great name but I bet they look like the Bay City Rollers!
  2. EX+ (some would say mint). So £20 + £2 postage if your still interested? Paypal (gift/personal) no worries.
  3. Pretty sure I have a nice copy somewhere. If you're not sorted I will get back to you later as I got to go out today (all day) so perhaps find it tomorrow.
  4. Great thread! Fortunately I don't need to download any as I have the full set, 1 - 32. I started buying (subscribed) around issue 17 or so but found all the previous issues in a record shop in Norwich and bought the lot. I once took a whole load to Spain with me on holiday complete with notebook and pen so I could record anything interesting and make a list of records that sounded interesting and try to seek them out. I used to do this while the missus was sunning by the pool as I couldn't stand being in the sun all day! The knowledge learnt from them is priceless. In fact I will be getting them out again soon and have another read through them all as a lot of records have passed through my hands since the last time I read them and it will be interesting to compare notes and observations. One of (if not THE) best NS fanzines to exist.
  5. They are from my neck of the woods (East Anglia) and I was D.J at a local charity night with them a few years back. Seen them several times, they are top notch and definitely have some credibility about them. Like someone said earlier, one of the lads is Steve J's boy, a top local D.J.
  6. Do the issues finish at #32? That is the last copy I bought, was there an issue 33?
  7. Then of course there's Paul Nicholas (as 'Oscar') with 'Club Of Lights' on Reaction.
  8. Tarby had a release on 'Immediate' around '66 but it ain't Northern.
  9. The best tune by Anita and out and out Northern is 'Something Must Be Done' on Pye. 'London Life' is featured on a Marble Arch cheapo L.P as is 'Something Must Be Done'.
  10. Yes, I have it. The Babs McNair track is 'It Happens Everytime'
  11. Isn't 'Ram You Hard' by the strangely named 'John Lennon'?
  12. Both listed at £100/125 in the latest RC guide.
  13. Re- Soul Rebels - If it's the orange/white UK Upsetter label it's a tough one as some had UK sleeves and JA vinyl (mine for starters!). Soul Revolution is a tougher one to find on original and would exceed £50 I'd say.
  14. This is the 45.... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/THE-CAVALIERS-Hold-To-My-Baby-Ooh-It-Hurts-Me-NORTHERN-SOUL-45-OUTTA-SIGHT-7-/161648474548?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item25a2fff9b4
  15. What LP is it? The Kent RCA CDs from several years back?
  16. Yes, previously unreleased and only came out on an RCA lookalike 45 by 'Outta Sight'
  17. I have a 'Worried Over You' backed with the equally great 'Gone, Gone, Gone' on Jet Set (WD). EX+ £40 post free if you want it.
  18. Wonder if any group members are still around and know about their fame on the NS scene? Just imagine their faces if they were to watch Elaine's film!
  19. Which brings to my original question, didn't mean it to sound like a daft question but it was the name that threw me, it just sounded Hispanic and with the exposure on Elaine's NS film thought I'd start a thread about them as I never heard that much on them. I thought they sounded blue-eyed (or maybe 'brown-eyed' which is another term I've heard used), but hey, people in the States thought the Righteous Brothers were Afro-Americans! I do collect blue-eyed/Carolina Soul myself and was just wondering if I should put the Salvadors on a blue-eyed CD compilation I was putting together for the car. Obviously now I know. Thanks guys for all the great information.
  20. Not sure if this is the right section, or if this has been discussed before but is there a picture/photo of the group? Are they blue-eyed, Hispanic or Afro American? They sound like blue-eyed soulsters to me.
  21. Billy Ocean - Love Really Hurts... (Wigan?) Real Thing - You To Me Are Everything / Can't Get By Without You (Mecca)? Flip of Mr. Bloe was played! Maybe they were played, I dunno?
