  1. 'Come See About Me' ain't it? I did see the ad and know it was a well known Supremes song but I've forgotten which one!
  2. Play new purchases several times on the decks, usually on a Saturday and Sunday morning. I then file them in the 'ready to burn' pile. Personal CD compilations are a great way to listen to them, I've made so many now that when I get an earlier made one, I hear a track that I'd completely forgotten I had! I do have a box of special favourites that get a spin on the decks when the mood takes me, usually when I'm at home alone.
  3. That is cheap! Got my order in, paid by the missus for my birthday....which is next week!! Roll on September!
  4. In my collection.
  5. https://www.45cat.com/record/sc135
  6. According to Manship 'the silver text is rarer'....but that still doesn't answer your question, sorry.
  7. Here's the Italian pic sleeve (black label)... But the UK 45 has 'Life Is But Nothing' on the flip.
  8. Are we talking about the UK Immediate (IM 040) first release? I thought 'Everything's Gonna Be Alright' was backed with 'Life Is But Nothing' NOT 'First Cut....'???
  9. Mine's the orange one. What do these go for now?
  10. The great thing with David Ruffin is, you really feel his pain. Brilliant singer!
  11. Do you mean: Willie Brown - Get Out And Get It (Tri-It) If so, I have an EX copy for £30 (post free if in UK).
  12. Yeah, all the crap. He is still going to run an ebay shop so all his good stuff is elsewhere.
  13. Sounds pre- Sliced Tomatoes.
  14. Roughly when did records in-demand on the Northern Soul scene start to get re-issued? I'm just wondering this as another forum suggested that 'The Carrolls -'Surrender Your love' which got a re-issue by Polydor in 1971 was due to demand on the Northern Soul scene but I would have thought this was too early for that?
  15. Or you can get both on orange re-issues.
  16. The 45 is available as part of a set in the 'Capitol Northern Soul 7's Box Set'.
  17. Hee hee, love it! but the seller will keep going down the list 'second chance offer' and still hit a good price I bet.
  18. There was one in the UK called 45sleeves.com, that used to list all sleeves and years they were used, but that expired in March, I heard the owner died.
  19. 3 great records. BTW as an aside, did you know 'The Animals' recorded 'Outcast' on Decca?
  20. Do you mean 'I Am The One'?
  21. The labels literally fell off mine!
  22. yellow stock copies with "Stereo" word are early 1970s repressings & often sold as originals original 1960s pressings have the wider print & also narrower print but a vinyl press not styrene. early 1970s repressing that is still being offered at original prices. the differences are STEREO, 45RPM in a different font, different wording at the label base & the catalog number is a different font. it's the equivalent of 1970s Okeh repressings with the small 45, of low value, if still collectable. Above is the quote from a well known source
  23. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/The-vibrations-cause-youre-mine-epic-/121946766618?hash=item1c6497fd1a:g:L4AAAOSwgApXBCre I read somewhere that these Epic 45's with 'Stereo' on them are 70's repressings. Makes sense as most 60's records are mono. Is this a re-press then?
