  1. So it's obviously an evergreen blues number (Eddie Jones?). Great version too Russ.
  2. Having not heard Bobby Mitchell 'Well I Done Got Over It' until an hour or so ago I realised I have it by Bobby Powell on Whit. Powell seems to have taken the writing credits, even though his version is about 4 years later!
  3. Not that easy to find, Amazon sold out, none on Discogs, none anywhere!
  4. This one fits the bill perfectly, a kind of 'Mamas & The Papa's' meets Northern Soul. Unfortunately no youtube clip (or fortunately for some ).
  5. Anyone got any info on this release? Earnest Nelson (E.N) = Earl Nelson (Jackie Lee) possibly? Ray Nelson a relative? From Hollywood, California so same area as Mirwood stuff.
  6. I've one, but how would I know if it's the real deal?
  7. Few on discogs from £30 upwards... https://www.discogs.com/Olympics-The-Same-Old-Thing-Ill-Do-A-Little-Bit-More/master/509846
  8. Not Relf but Carmichael and Mirwood connected...
  9. I have an almost mint demo. £40 if you want it Sean. Post free if in UK
  10. Well, the US Veep one is actually 'Premature Golden Sands' which also came out on UK Island.....
  11. Was a higher price several years ago but seems to have dipped back down to a more reasonable amount now.
  12. Anyone else on here order this previously unreleased 45 from Record Collector magazine or just me? White boys tries soul and fails or nice UK version that will become collectable? Thoughts...
  13. Not booted as far as I am aware. It's styrene with a monarch stamp. delta no. 72741
  14. It was just on, 8pm....it's actually 'Stop In The Name Of Love'.
  15. 'Come See About Me' ain't it? I did see the ad and know it was a well known Supremes song but I've forgotten which one!
  16. Play new purchases several times on the decks, usually on a Saturday and Sunday morning. I then file them in the 'ready to burn' pile. Personal CD compilations are a great way to listen to them, I've made so many now that when I get an earlier made one, I hear a track that I'd completely forgotten I had! I do have a box of special favourites that get a spin on the decks when the mood takes me, usually when I'm at home alone.
  17. That is cheap! Got my order in, paid by the missus for my birthday....which is next week!! Roll on September!
  18. According to Manship 'the silver text is rarer'....but that still doesn't answer your question, sorry.
  19. Here's the Italian pic sleeve (black label)... But the UK 45 has 'Life Is But Nothing' on the flip.
  20. Are we talking about the UK Immediate (IM 040) first release? I thought 'Everything's Gonna Be Alright' was backed with 'Life Is But Nothing' NOT 'First Cut....'???
