Top side ala Motown 1963/64.

Yeah, I sometimes give it a spin at our local small "Soul n' Funk" nights where the order of the day is dance! Always goes down a treat with the young un's.

Not really a stomper...more of a smooth dancer, probably 1968ish, horns and a perfect northern beat. Great mid/slow flip also!

I've only ever seen a UK Stateside copy of 'Nothing Else To Say Baby' with 'Heart And Soul' on the flip. For UK collectors, 'Another Dirty Deal' is on the flip of the Contempo re-issue only.

Steelers- absolute dream of a tune! I managed to get a copy a couple of years back but it aint cheap. Ian Clark had one at the Norwich record fair and it went for £200. I know loads of people who are after a copy. Great Northern Soul dancer!

Could have stuck em on ebay and made a profit (maybe). I have the Gloria Lynne l.p too, only bought it for THAT one tune, the rest of it's crap! Some of the stuff I found I managed to get top dollar/trades for, others i've let go far too cheaply and can't get replacements...Embers, Huns Review, Donald Height....

I know you said anyone had anything recently, well it's certainly getting harder to get stuff on the old boot sales these days. When they first started in the mid 80's you could get some real gems! Got boxes of the stuff, used to live in Hackney as a kiddie in the 60's and me Dad got loads of the stuff when he went to 'blues nights' after getting friwendly with a local Jamaican 'face'.
