  1. So where and whence did one get picture from then Pete???
  2. someone can have my ex copy for $40 (in the states) if they want. or £15 post free in the uk.
  3. Found it! thanks soulpeter
  4. Someone on here recently had a Timothy Williams - It's My Life (Josie) for sale recently but I can't find it now...who was it? I want it.
  5. 'I Cant Stand Myself When You Touch Me' on King from around 1966/67, his best album i.m.o. (Northern wise anyway). You should'nt have much problem finding one, but it has recently been re-issued. I managed to get an original (blue King label) on evil bay for a few dollars. Great album! ps. The cover has J.B standing in a suit with 3 go-go girls looking on.
  6. Since Kent have the rights to the King label how about this for a 45 then as a tribute to James Brown....his finest 'Northern' tune, only available on an L.P...'Why Did You Take Your Love Away From Me'...absolute belter that I know would become huge!!! It could also be backed with the other great Northern tune on the album...'Time After Time'....another corker! 2 just waiting to be unleashed!
  7. Yeah, click on the Mod girls' 'you tube' short film...just great!
  8. Also, look out for his 'Bag Full Of Soul' l.p on RCA...couple of great 60's stormers on it!
  9. £105 !!!! for this one too Awake! What the hell's going on...don't these bidders know anything???!!!
  10. The other one on Spar by Herbert Hunter is terrific! 'Happy Go Lucky'...don't even think it's in any of the price guides. A real hidden gem!
  11. Hated Frank Beverley & The Butlers 'If That's What You Wanted' first time I heard it 25 years ago, second time I heard it (about a week later!) I absolutely Fuc**** fell head over heels in love with it!!
  12. I sold my copy with Bill Pursell on the flip for £23 and bought the one with 'Push Away...' for £11 in the vain hope that it might have been an original (seller never stated). Turns out it wasn't but still preffered it to the one I sold with Bill Pursell. Basically, what I want to know is the Bill Pursell one worth more then? I'd have thought the one with the exact flip to the original has a bit more credibility???
  13. Same here, i've asked on several occasions about post to UK but get no reply...however, a singer from one of the bands (the Monzas) is selling them in his shop in Tennesee and is going to get back to me about posting. Failing that, I have actually spoken to the guy who has produced it and he is working on getting it distributed to the UK so will keep you posted. I really want a copy badly!!! It looks great! Anyone going to the States soon? If they can get a few copies i'm sure they'd have no trouble getting their money back + a little tip!...anyone going....? I presume it's available in most good USA bookshops...
  14. pm me an offer... John
  15. Earl Van Dyke - All Night b/w Supremes - Honey Bee (stomp version)- Tamla Motown UK (part of their recent batch of vinyl 45s).
  16. UK looking boot with a 'Mongo Bongo' track & The Quick (Bert's Apple Crumble) both on the flip. Think it's aimed at the boogaloo/mod/funk scene as well. Can't remember the label name but I have one somewhere...think it was something like 'Hipsville' or something like that.
  17. Presuming Mr Dynamite is 'Sh Mon' (UK Sue) which has been booted. 'Burn Baby Burn' must be the Mel Williams on Star...£500 worth???? Definitly keep the unissued stuff going, they're the ones I and many others tend to look at/buy first
  18. Yeah, you're right, sorry...think I have too many records! Joe's is a different tune and BETTER! 'I Got a Whole lot of Lovin' is an absolute corker too! Not forgetting his 'I see Your face' on Hush! Great too!
  19. Don't know whether to thank you for that!!!! Oh well, I can presume the instrumental is not worth having, just as I thought, a pile of bilge!
  20. You know I love it Pete
  21. Yeah, had this a while now, stonkin' version of the Temptations, Undisputed Truth et al..
  22. Apparently this is the flip so am assuming that the A side is vocal. Just saw it on an auction site (not evil bay) and thought it was strange, with the 'Mirwood' and 'Fred Smith' mentioned on the label...maybe the instrumental is stonkin' Northern??? ...so, like Ken said...any chance of a sound file of the Soulsetters?
  23. Just look at this, looks like a pile of bilge but it's a Mirwood thingy with Fred Smith at the helms.... Strange title too...anybody know it?
  24. Yeah, it's the flip to Edwin Starr's vocal on Ric-Tic, legit USA release.
  25. I have one of theirs on Allert 'Don't Dish Out (More Than You Can Take)', great with a blue eyed organ thrown in, not sure of their colour though.
