  1. Earl Van Dyke - All Night b/w Supremes - Honey Bee (stomp version)- Tamla Motown UK (part of their recent batch of vinyl 45s).
  2. UK looking boot with a 'Mongo Bongo' track & The Quick (Bert's Apple Crumble) both on the flip. Think it's aimed at the boogaloo/mod/funk scene as well. Can't remember the label name but I have one somewhere...think it was something like 'Hipsville' or something like that.
  3. Presuming Mr Dynamite is 'Sh Mon' (UK Sue) which has been booted. 'Burn Baby Burn' must be the Mel Williams on Star...£500 worth???? Definitly keep the unissued stuff going, they're the ones I and many others tend to look at/buy first
  4. Yeah, you're right, sorry...think I have too many records! Joe's is a different tune and BETTER! 'I Got a Whole lot of Lovin' is an absolute corker too! Not forgetting his 'I see Your face' on Hush! Great too!
  5. Don't know whether to thank you for that!!!! Oh well, I can presume the instrumental is not worth having, just as I thought, a pile of bilge!
  6. You know I love it Pete
  7. Yeah, had this a while now, stonkin' version of the Temptations, Undisputed Truth et al..
  8. Apparently this is the flip so am assuming that the A side is vocal. Just saw it on an auction site (not evil bay) and thought it was strange, with the 'Mirwood' and 'Fred Smith' mentioned on the label...maybe the instrumental is stonkin' Northern??? ...so, like Ken said...any chance of a sound file of the Soulsetters?
  9. Just look at this, looks like a pile of bilge but it's a Mirwood thingy with Fred Smith at the helms.... Strange title too...anybody know it?
  10. Yeah, it's the flip to Edwin Starr's vocal on Ric-Tic, legit USA release.
  11. I have one of theirs on Allert 'Don't Dish Out (More Than You Can Take)', great with a blue eyed organ thrown in, not sure of their colour though.
  12. Is this the blue eyed group who had a hit with 'Rhythm Of The Rain'???
  13. Got one about a year ago, on Jubilee. Can't post you a soundfile though mate, not sure how it works. Flip is good too. I have put it on a Cd and if you want a copy of the Cd p.m me your address and i'll get one off to you, how's that? Free of charge of course!
  14. Likewise. I suppose Johnny Caswell fits into the 'poppy' end of the genre too, still a fantastic tune and never tire of it, sends goose bumps up my spine, been in his situation and you just know what he's on about. You can always tell!
  15. 26th Devonnes (heard it but not bowled over, how much?) 15th Phil Terrell / Vic & John (what's the Vic & John like?) What others you got? By the way, it's true, she does! I even have a picture of her in full Spurs kit!!!!
  16. Do you mean 'It's Got You' ????
  17. Pete, do you have the Larry Marshall on Blue Beat 'Suspicion/Broken Heart'??? If so, can you post up a sound clip of both sides, I have this Buster productions CD off a mate with no track listings, only the artists and there is an absolute brilliant Rocksteady tune by Larry. It's not the other one of his on Blue Beat cos' I have that one...
  18. Mmmm, interesting. I've just forked out £70 for Magicians off Mick Smith, just had to have it! Will be worth double that in the future, you'll see!! Also paid £££s for Lorraine Chander & Sharon Scott (about £50 each I think) and £40 for Gigi & Charmaines a few months back. You're never gonna get em' any other way and they are originals lets not forget that. So, that's a couple of hundred just for those 4....you do the math!
  19. White!!! Well I never....
  20. Hated soul music, always thought it was James Brown stuff with loads of shouting and screaming and funky afro hair do's......then heard a mate playing Johnny Caswell 'you dont love me anymore' in his bedroom and was completely smitten with this 'Northern Soul' sound.... that was 28 years ago!!!! Been in love with the music ever since!
  21. 'If It Dont Fit, Dont Force It'
  22. Not true mate, some record pressing plants have their own stamp, smaller pressing plants don't have any and the log number is scratched in. I've got originals that have no stamp whatsoever, especially on the smaller independant labels.
  23. Not forgetting the other recent one on Grapevine....Detroit Magnificents 'Is This A Woman's Way' that uses Youngblood Smith's 'You Can Split' backing track....................... And the Chesterfields 'Think It Over' also on Grapevine, this one has the same backing as Yvonne Baker 'You Didn't Say A Word'. 2 absolutely wonderful previously unissued Northern Soul stormers!!! Get em' if you can find em' now.
  24. Look out for the UK re-issue of 'River Deep, Mountain High' on A&M, flip has a brilliant stomper 'Oh Baby! Things aint What They Used To Be'...not available on any other 45 even in the USA.
  25. White, maybe, but still good enough for the TYMES (black group!!!!!!) to do a version on their 'People' L.P
