  1. Wont bother buying it then. And the cheeky so and so's want a tenner!!!!
  2. Yes it did, I had it several years ago...been looking for another (not religiously though) and it's bound to be cheap on that label.
  3. Don't think so mate, there are several groups around the 60s with that name. I bought one on Reel the other week hoping it was them but it turned out to be a female doo wop group, northern(ish), but early girlie sounding...not my cup of tea.
  4. Hi Pete, There is a CD just out called 'In The Snake Pit'...it's previously unreleased Motown instrumentals! Saw it on ebay yesterday, UK seller, kosher release.
  5. Thanks for that Chalky, I'll try and get in touch with him, do you know his soul source name?
  6. Volume 6 contains the 'MYNAH BIRDS - It's My Time / Go On And Cry' .........never heard of this??? Anyone know what it's like?
  7. Don't think he has any back issues. Maybe he'll reply.... Last one I got was issue 30, wondered if there's been any since?? Want some of the earlier issues (21 and below) if anyone has any for sale.
  8. Back issues (whats the latest?). Let me know which numbers you have if anyone wants to sell me any. John
  9. I've a few, will dig them out and e-mail you later ok.
  10. Got my Freddy Butler off Ebay for £12..(including the postage!).....it was listed in the 'easy listening' section!!!
  11. Don't forget...my names down as well
  12. Thanks for that Felo, it's all clear now
  13. Chevrons - Love, I Love You - Independence or MMC condition not essential long as it plays well.
  14. Do you think? I know it's been re-recorded/mixed cause' it's on my missus KFC cd and sounds 'newer', also on the Motown CD which came free with Q magazine (think it was that one). It's the drum beat which gives it away on these CD recordings, newish sounding like on a lot of Ian Levine's Motor City tunes. The 45 doesn't sound the same as these though, the backing is identical to the 60's cut, just Frank's slightly different vocal cut, bit of an "ah" here and a "huh" there and so on. I could be wrong though, perhaps he re-recorded the vocal over the 60's rhythm. Haven't played it for a while so will dig it out and give it another spin....
  15. Not sure if there's a 45 but the album is 'A Touch Of Today' on Capitol (UK & US)
  16. Subtle differences, soon as it started I knew it was different from the 1979/81 issue. Play them both one after the other and you'll hear the difference.
  17. Yeah, that's right, several pressings, but anyone of these worth having. RCA took over about 1981 (my copy came with an orange Tamla Motown sleeve RCA distributed and on the label). Some early ones on EMI have perforated middles, rest have solid centres.
  18. Easiest way to tell is the 1979 issue is distributed through EMI, the 1981 issue distributed through RCA. Also, the recent one with Chris Clark on the flip is a slightly different take.
  19. Thanks for that Delorenzo, I'm definitely interested in buying one. Find out what you can mate. Cheers, John
  20. So did Elton John when the Major toured the UK!!!
  21. Great tune, had it a few years....aint parting with it though! Like boba say's, you don't see it that often.
  22. ???????????????? The link is all in French and I can't understand it!
  23. Hi, When, and How can we get a book then?
  24. Thanks for that Sean! It's a great Northern dancer, I bought it blind cos' it sounded good.....and it is! I had heard of Paul Davis before (think he was solo on a couple of Bang releases?).
