  1. Frankie, you summed it up perfectly mush, enough said
  2. Come on mush, we are all into the same music, they were big enough to learn it and sing it to there best, cut them some slack, ffs, all you knockers, you think you can do better, get in touch with the BBC and step up, any takers? I doubt it!!!
  3. Well said mush, this is a lady with passion for our music, good luck to her.

My name is Colin but feel free to call me mush, everyone else does, is that the same story as the Welsh man saying those boots are nice shoes?

Nice to know some people take an interest in what is said and take the time to look into the conversation, and look deeper, amazing what you find out, 60 here and everyday is still a school day

Very well put mush but trust me it's pronounced mush, vous parle francaise avec moi ici, mush = sea gypsy's, ship to ship people
  7. October 9th 1967 I was 5, how young do I feel, Went out with a manc, been to Brazennose Street and saw the site where the club stood, xmas 2015, ended up in in a pub called The Wight Horse, so rammed, Northern Soul playing all night, you didn't have to dance because you were shoulder to shoulder, one person moved, the whole pub moved, fantastic night, will remember it forever.

    Mush

Mush A term that is used to greet others mostly in the south coast of England, UK. It’s mostly said by local people in the city of Southampton and the surrounding areas up to Portsmouth and Bournemouth. Alex-“hey Tom! You alright there mush?” Tom-“I’m alright mush!” Urban dictionary, where is your proof mush? Next you'll be claiming the first man to walk on the moon was Welsh!!!

Because i always have, shit with names, hense why everyone calls me mush, it's a Southampton thing, my son is a school teacher, 29 in 3 days, I know his name because I named him, been called mush all his life
  12. And your point is mush??? Maybe it was just about putting it out there to people who have never seen or heard about Northern Soul, did that cross your mind while you were practising your moves in your bedroom for Saturday night? Totally agree mush
  13. All nighter, couldn't do it now if my life depended on it
  14. Hang on mush, did I say she was a great dancer? No! Obviously the BBC asked her to perform a dance, which she did, here's some news for you, one of my mates have never been to a Northern Soul do, never seen anyone dance, yes he live's in soulless Oxfordshire, he loved it, he might be in his 70's but really enjoyed it, surely that's the whole point. For your information I have seen a lot of great dancers over the years, lots of people I saw maybe once, in my opinion the best I saw was a mush from Sunderland called Will. That's just my personal opinion.
  15. Chalky, come on mush, yes they cut some bits out, they do out of every programme, there were people watching who have no idea what we dance like or anything about our scene, Levanna is a young refreshing lady, i'm 60 so grew up with this music and Motown, here is a young lady that has embraced our music, from a long time before she was even a thought in her dads head and long after i'm gone, will still be doing what we do now, yes something got cut, but hey ho, Levanna and people like her will keep our scene going, she is a breathe of fresh air. Go on You Tube and watch her Covid All Nighter, brilliant, clever, this is one smart young lady!!!
