Our May event is the penultimate event of our first year, we’ve had a great one so far, driven and inspired by the support we’ve had from regulars and random visitors, we’re getting good positive feedback from the punters and the club staff and committee, so a massive THANK YOU to all, and hopefully May it long continue. We hope you’re all enjoying it as much as we’re enjoying playing to you. So this months Greasbrough WMC Northern Soul & Motown night is on Friday 30th May, and the regular three house DJ’s will be accompanied by this months guest DJ, Ian ‘Tommo’ Thompson, of Reachin' For The Best Soul Club, between them they will be spinning a variety of classic/mainstream Northern soul, uplifting Motown belters, classic R ‘n B soul, Philly soul, Latin soul, a bit of rare and a bit of modern soul, hopefully a bit of something for everyone. As usual, it's FREE entry, cheap bar prices, big car park, a ‘fantastic’ talc friendly dancefloor, as declared by our regular dancers - (please use talc in moderation, though it's not really needed). So plenty of great tunes to either shake a tail feather to, or just sit and enjoy listening to. Once again, a massive THANK YOU very much to all who have been and supported us over the past 10 months, and any support at future events will be greatly appreciated, as always. Thanks again, KTF & KOKO Speaking of future events, please keep the date, 25th July 2025 in mind for our First Year Anniversary Bash, I think we can safely promise this will be a belter to kickstart our second year off, with a little help from our very special guest DJ, none other than Billy Backdrop, with his famously renown stage presence, his energetic crowd rapport, and spinning some top tunes from his huge collection of vinyl. Spring is in the air and 'So Is The Sun'. Soul nights, weekenders, dayers and nighters are coming in fast and furious. For our March event, the numbers were down by a good few due to Whitby weekender being on, and a few put sick notes in with the gastro bug going round, but we still had a great night with the one's who could make it, so a massive THANK YOU again for coming and supporting us. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as we enjoyed playing to you. Greasbrough WMC Northern soul & Motown night 'twixt Xmas and New Year' charity event. This is a charity event with proceeds going equally to Tiny Toes, a Rotherham community children's charity, and to the Royal British Legion. Three house DJ’s plus another great guest DJ, Jane Hellewell will be playing a great mix of classic/mainstream Northern soul, uplifting Motown dancers, R ‘n B soul, Philly soul, Latin soul, a bit of rare and a bit of modern soul, hopefully something to please all ears. There is a FREE prize draw for a £25 bar voucher, very kindly donated by Greasbrough WMC , there will also be some great raffle prizes to be won. Hopefully it will be a great night for two very worthy causes It is FREE entry, cheap bar prices, big car park, great 'talc friendly' dancefloor - (please use talc in moderation), and some great soul tunes to either shake a tail feather to, or just sit and listen to. So why not come to the club and swap the turkey and tinsel for top tunes 'n talc? For this month the three regular DJ’s, John Botham, Stuart Rowbotham, Ian Bruce will be joined by guest DJ, Ian 'Tommo' Thompson of Reachin' For The Best Northern Soul Club, who will be playing a variety of top tunes from Northern soul classics, uplifting Motown dancers, R ‘n B soul, Philly soul, Latin soul, some rare soul and a bit of modern soul, hopefully something to please all ears.
