    various early 70
    Russ Davy was my childhood ( 7 and 8 years old) friend. We grew up together in the Hunters Bar area of Sheffield. We went to clubs together. The Ark The Highway 61 The Heartbeat I became a musician , joined bands , went to Detroit. Russ became a face on the Northern scene. He was my best man. We found our friendship again later. Sadly not long after I was told he'd died and I went to see him at the funeral home and his cremation at City Road which was well attended by many from his Northern Soul family.
