  1. Excellent work fellas.......sanity restored.......thank you VERY much....
  2. For the last few days I've had these SPOKEN lyrics from the beginning of a tune going round in my head and for the life of me can't remember it Guy speaks something like "we're goin' to play Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3 if we have time" and that's all I can remember. I have a feeling that it's a really well known soul tune that may well not be partricularly associated with just northern and as for timing...it's from the wheel era.. any help appreciated before I call the samaritans.......
  3. It was the Jades I had in mind but Duke Browner also fits the dun duns. (crack) LOL
  4. ...and it absolutely was.....cheers fella ....been doing my head in all day
  5. Name that tune Dun Der Dun Dun Dun Der Dun Dun (CRACK) Anwers on a postcard to.......
  6. Always a clapper It's an age thing, and an era thing. When your out and about and a particular tune comes on and of the 30/40/50 etc or so people on the floor perhaps 6 or 7 will clap perfectly to the offbeat of a not played very often tune you get that mtual smile and nod that means "you were there...back in the day etc."
  7. "shout it from the roof tops, tell the world about it".....then the tune slows down a bit before picking up the tempo/beat again....maybe Why is it you always get a couple of lines in your head (behave) and then find it hard to get a name to it. Is it an age thing? ot just too many tunes ??
  8. Boo Hoo Just checked my set. 2 x Barbara, 0 x Marvin. Replacement on it's way.....we shall see. Hanging on to both sets and will mix and match to get the best discs, that's....... If the replacement arrives and if it's the correct replacement.
  9. I was looking for a CD with Supremes -There's no stopping us now on it. Was thinking of downloading from Youtube and burning. Then I thought I've got all the Complete Motown singles CD Box Sets. It's gotta be on there somewhere. Anybody know if there is a definitive list of the whole lot CD by CD anywhere on the net. In the end I looked at Discogs for year of release and just looked through vol 7. A list on a spreadsheet or at least in a table would be good 'cos it could then be filtered and/or sorted.....anybody know
  10. I was there. What an exceptional voice this guy had. Pure soul. If you have bought tickets for the remainder of his shows you will not be disappointed. As it happens I was standing on the High Street in Conwy at lunchtime telling Little Glyn what a brilliant night he'd missed when who comes strolling up the road none other than John Ellison. Had another opportunity to tell him what an enjoyable night he had given us. Chatted for a few minutes. A true gentleman.
