Join us for the usual 3rd Sunday Afternoon of the month's Soul Session. Now in our 7th year this monthly event promises a great afternoon of soul music, a friendly welcome, cheap bar prices. If you fancy a day out at the seaside, a bracing walk on the promenade followed by a great lunch and an afternoon of soul music, LLANDUDNO's Seaside Soul might be the excuse your looking for.
Two weeks to go before the 7th Anniversary on 20th November with a very special guest Dave Evison. Time to give a massive thanks to everybody who has ever attended and contributed to an amazing Grand Total Raised of £26,580 since it all began back in November 2015. It is thanks to you guys that donate £5 on the door month in, month out, that many charities have benefited. A very special thank you must also go to all the DJs who have appeared totally free of charge. Some have travelled distances to be with us, all playing fantastic (and rare) soul music. This month should be a cracking afternoon of soul music and dance, and of course will raise that total just a little bit more. £5 door tax, free raffle, prize donations gratefully accepted. This months chosen charity is Prostate Cancer UK. See you @ Seaside Soul - Sunday Afternoon Sessions. Oh… a commemorative fridge magnet for the first 70 patrons in through the door.
Looking for a nice clean copy of Jimmy “Soul” Clark - (I’ll Be Your Champion), I’ll Be Your Winner - SoulHawk, quality of the vinyl more important than the quality of the label. Anybody ?
Looking for a decent copy of Mike and Ray - If Only You Knew
popsike prices for the last few years range from 120 to 300 depending on grading. PM me if you have a copy to sell please.
Apologies if this should have been in another forum.
Jessica James & The Outlaws - We'll Be Making Out
Released on Dynavoice and Bronco, both in 1966 (according to discogs), but no date on the Bronco issue at 45cat.com
More information anybody ???
Cheers Neal.... remembered it myself about 10 mins after posting.... but I had been trying to remember for about 3 days.... doh.... thanks for the reply though.
Help.... Somebody reminded me of Len Jewell - Betting On Love.... and what a great track it is... but I'm convinced something else uses the same backing track...driving me mad or I am already mad....
I fancy playing these out but as far as I know both are unreleased. They were issued on Goldmine in 1996 and 1998 respectively. They are also available on the Eddie Holman and The Larks LP issued in the late 1980's on the Universal Love label which I think has something to do with the Skegness Weekender. On the discogs entry is states " This LP was produced by Weldon Arthur McDougal, III in the late 1960s ". (but released in the late 1980's) I'm confused...... Anyone help ??? or do I just not play 'em out at all ??
There'll be 15 minutes of kissing Then you'll holler "please don't stop" There'll be 15 minutes of teasing,
15 minutes of squeezing And 15 minutes of blowing my top
Had these lyrics in my head all day can't remember the Artist or the Title.
Female singer
Next time baby we'll me makin' out.
repeated
In for a dollar in for a dime
My baby's workin overtime
Just to buy me pretty things
Things that hard earned money brings
In fact I think it's called something like "we'll be making out"
