Well being as im starting to get the knack of these clips now,i thought id put this one on youtube in memory of my old mate Derek who sadly passed away 2 years ago on this very day,gone but not forgotten ,here s the link it dont show alot but its nice seeing him again

seems that one or two just come on here to take the rip out of others glyn ( meaning the snide comments),i was looking at another article featuring a dance comp at stoke ,the guy and girl in question are both freinds of mine tracey and sammy both exellent dancers,what these morons have to realise is non of us are 16 years old anymore but we choose to go out and have a dance to the music we love and basically have a good time,some of us are better that others some not,but what the hell does it matter as long as are enjoying ourselfs,and best of all, these sort of comments come from people that havnt got the guts to dance themselfs

it was a very special record to derek allen,it was his wfes name paulette aka known as paula she asked kev roberts to play it at his funeral but kev told her he'd never heard of the record,i offerd to send a mp3 but got no reply,thats why its on the site ,its dereks record he made it a monster in the east midlands

totally shocked,i've know nige a good few years now can remember him comming to our first ever soul night at alfreton back in aug 97,i'd heard he'd had a heart attack at cleethorpes but didnt realise it was this bad,i know he pulled through before guess everyone thought he would again, a sad loss to the scene and he will be sadley missed as we always saw him at so many venues across the uk,still cant believe it,he wasnt that old either,codolences to his family from myself and wife pat

a big thank you..... to everyone that attended the alfreton reunion last night,so many people turned up from all parts of the uk, it was truly a fantastic night you the people did us proud and i cant thank you enough,Alfreton was in full swing just like it used to be.Overall everyone i spoke to said they had a brilliant night,appologys to the people i didnt get to speak too but as organiser its chaotic running a club of that size ,i have to make sure everything go's right and it wasnt untill about 11.30 pm i started to relax . Special thanks to the peterbourgh crew that came also the old aqua crew from hednessford ,the dudley lads,melton mafia,cambridge all the east midlands gang + everyone else and A SPECIAL THANKS TO MIKE H for this site and his events pages ,im sure this site was a key factor in our success last night,not forgetting the dj's who all keep the floor busy all the night.
