  10. Its sad mate as we are all from the same era of going every weekend twice a weekend and not really giving a fiddlers fuck as to what happens when monday gets here. Like you say was one of the true "faces" and very knowledgeable to boot.
  11. oh no. seen him at stafford reunion, we got chit chatting just like it was last week since we seen each and not 10yrs. He had said he was in recovery from cancer and looked great with his new blond hair. Top bloke always made me laugh especially when crew alexander was the topic. I will miss him, proper old school. getting a little sick and tired of saying this nowdays but RIP Martin.
  12. Agree with your stand out tracks but there are more "stand out " tracks me thinks. Bob & Earl - My Little Girl Ray Merrell - Tears Of Joy
  13. Now then , now then........you all seen the documentary, and i dare say you all seen that nackerd old metal 70's style looking bin near the start sitting on the front (or side counter as it was) where the ticket stubs used to go in........yes?? How much would you say that would be worth to right kind of person then eh??
  14. i wont pretend to know what your on about as i dont and have not read your previous post to this "update". But this is really very very simple to remedy. It goes something along the lines of FUCK EM'!! But to do this and mean it you really need to be in the frame of mind of a person that REALLY does not give a toss and that i know is easier said than it is done, after all these are people you prob still believe are your friends when in truth they are not. See them for what they really are and move on, dont let it worry you.
  15. I actually do remember a certain Mr. Darge at a Stafford nighter go fucking ape at the lack of floor attention to a certain Tony Galla "So In Love" so much so that he played it 4!! times back to back........fucking quality!!

  18. And some on here think that my views on our scene are a little over the top........... kin' ell' this guy has to take away the first prize in the cat. of "looking like, sounding like, and being a complete and UTTER **NT!! Funny as fook though that he thinks he is justified in trying to make a point!!
  19. Don Covey "It's Better To Have" Constellations " I Didn't Know How To" .......... Could not give a fiddlers what it goes for today its not rare and only 12yrs or so ago it was a £2.00 record in every box. And same applies to number 3 on my list, only it was cheaper and even more of these about than above. Metros "Since I Found My Baby" That my moan over so i will do it again with a proper todays value cheapie three. first one as above, number two for me would be Al Green "Don't Leave Me" And third has to be Johnny Taylor "Friday Night"
  20. Well i did not want to say that as i keep getting slagged off for even mentioning the word "oldie" but yes your spot on. And Mr. Rimmer just a tad below the belt but i suppose fair enough.......
  21. not having the lack of money bit, this scene of ours has been through all the previous dips in the countrys fortunes and the attendances if anything increased in those times.
