  1. must rare as rockin horse shit......never ever seen a pucker copy.
  2. Yes it is the original version and each to their own.......don't stop it from being inferior in every way to the re-worked 70's version though and the fact that i don't think i have ever heard the original version played out........ever. Not 100% sure if the re-worked cut is even 70's?? it was taken from their 1970 album "Good Vibes" which would suggest it was recorded back end of 1969??
  3. Well if it's a collection of played eclectic through the range northern originals then my money would be on Simon Hunt - not alot he don't have but i don't think he has an Eddie Parker which others that are mentioned all do but that don't make one collection better than another, what does though is when you go to a person's house to sell a few bit's and you are just astounded at the vastness and quality of a person's personal 45 collection,, when you get tired of thinking of the rarest tunes that you know of and if by magic it suddenly appears in front of your eye's........NOTHING!! i mentioned got the shake of the head, it was truly the biggest thrill for me to see such tunage under one roof and in the same collection.......stand up and take a bow Mr. Mick Smith.........simply the best!!
  4. Could not have put it better than that myself
  5. check out raresoul45's top bloke reasonable prices, he has a gamble demo at the min £75......bargain mate.
  6. Natural Four's - "I Thought You Were Mine" - ABC or Boola Boola One is for the nighter crowd and dancer's the other for the chin scratcher's and collector's, personally i'm ABC all the way........but which one are you??
  7. It was defo a Gary R spin, went massive everywhere he played it but was bigger at Leicester Oddfellows than most........i actually brought his original copy he played out, it came with styrene hiss at the start for no extra price (£35 82'ish) alot of money for a 45 back then!!
  8. "New Love" is a belter and imho by far his best dancer. £10 at the very most!!
  9. VIP record fairs, there is a guy who stands at the one in Leicester's fair who only sells repro record company sleeves, white card sleeves, plastic outer sleeves and the one's you want, with various colour's of piping down the edges. hope this helps you. Daz.
  10. Have to say i agree with you on this, emotional tunage don't get better than this, and it IS a genuine rare slab of 45 on the plastic label issue..........boy can she sing!!
  11. Larue- Demo preferred as cheaper than issue, not ruling out issue if price is right!! pm with condition and price best Daz

  15. Comin' Home stocker is a rare one, so if you ever get one in Pete i will gladly pay you £200!!! ONLY
  16. Ashtray it is then!!
  17. I actually think that it is for when you take out insurance as well, it must be, as well of the usual mailer also enclosed within a jiffy mailer, why i have no idea but that is their rule, failing to do so you will not receive a penny in compensation if you need to use it.HONEST!!.
  18. Thats my point Pete, you DO have proof that you sent the record, using first class only they print on the receipt the address to where it's going to, granted you dont get proof of the 45 reaching the end point but we are talking about the Royal Mail here, nothing out there in my opinion comes close to the service they give and the price they charge.
  19. Oh i see, but, but, but, why do recorded as a standard option?? it gives no more protection than first class unless you use royal mail guild-lines on using recorded......ie the packet MUST be enclosed in royal mail standard bubble wrap jiffy's to qualify, you still get a receipt of postage to the address on the mailer using only first class and it gets to address no more quicker. In my opinion P/P should be free of charge to a buyer if all they want is standard delivery, only charge if the buyer wants other than standard and then it should only cost what it has cost the seller to use other than standard.........no little extra's. In no way am i implying you do charge any extra than the actual cost but there are plenty that do, not so much on S/S but elsewhere.
  20. Very last one, priced to shift, 60% OFF list price........sooner make an ashtray of it than sell it any cheaper. FREE P/P as usual, Concealed cash or Bank Transfer, NO PAYPAL!! 21. Over the last few days have sent several 45's out all in standard record mailers all with 4 pieces of card and they have been very consistent in the price to post 1st class UK mainland.......£1.09p......which is why i give free P/P. Have no idea as to why the price should or does vary as it should not, dont matter where you are in the UK to post to the UK it IS the same price........£1.09p!!
