    1971 Swan hotel ballroom sat night ,floor full and these two lovely young ladies said would you play Carole Kings "Its Too Late" now being polite I answered honestly and too make em feel a bit better said,,Sorry girls great record,,But I havent got a copy with me,So cant play it,would if I had , WRONG WORDS 5 seconds later was embarrassed to have a copy shoved in my mitts by said Vixens lol Spun and my reward 2 girls dancing to a good record nothing to do with a 1971 gig, not always best to be kind hearted,(Rewards after gig another story) lol

    Mansfield was the centre anyone from Sutton and Kirkby Nightmare Bilsthorpe and Ollerton same Nightmare Warsop and Welbeck same for some reason Stags fans had a rep similar to Millwalls today and any new face got a good looking at if they werent from the area so yes was a litle precarious in Mansfield But if you went from Mansfield you had the same problem good days
