Thought Rob Marriott played a cracking set of gems on Saturday inc some rare and some Wigan tunes and one of his own Classics Jimmy Castor and Make Me so I was at the same do Saturday and enjoyed a varied set inc Soul time by Shirley Ellis so your utter Rubish mark dont err compute as the original quote was you dont get to hear many of the big tunes,not only the classics,when you go to local do's and my answer was we hire the better djs to get those tunes played at local nights, hope that explains all Doug

Bazza so why do local venues book ,the Dave Rimmers and the Soul Sams and Arthur Fenn or Ginger Taylor,or in the past have booked a good xover inc Mick H, Andy Dyson,threatened to sing To Mick Smith(to no avail)but has promised to come next year(he was drunk and I conned him),but he keeps his promises as do the other up and coming old men Like Nick Borst,Dave Raistrick,Chris Forrest,etc, so if you believe in supporting the local venues do you go to the bigger ones

from the compilation cd Master 4 cd box set got CK to press me a copy years and years ago played it out a few times and put it on Sweet soul compilation freebie excellent track but didnt get the dance floor reaction required to keep playing pity
