Got to stand up and back my old mate mr Ian (acetate) Seaman as I know he is a n all round nice guy very round in fact and would have no hesitation in booking him for Skeggy or Horncastle or Sweetsoul(Feb 2007) and I know he will be along to watch Ginger Taylor on Friday at SWEETSOUL (see Events) SO ONE FOR Ian Seaman gets my vote anyday Doug

First saw Geno at The Sherwood rooms Notts eons ago and saw him regularly from his "Handclapping Footstomping" Live act which for its intensity and stage presence was excellent, 6TS 9ts to year 2k absolute crap in the last 4 years have seen him 4 times and each time he has been Drunk or something similar, and his stage presence has been inferior to say the least, and the songs he was most Noted for Back in The Day he doesnt perform eg; Michael and Que Sera Sera , disapointing to say the least

Ady the one responsible for my current position in front of the computer reading along with self minded people about an alledged long dead music of which since Cleethorpes Weekender of which he persisted has dragged back into the public eye,due to all the new weekenders and Soul nights ala 100Club have or now exist due to the "NORTHERN SOUL" been kept and or brought to the public in todays scene , IMO Add to that he is a good all round nice guy,and I for one am grateful to count him as a friend But still cant get him to Sweetsoul CONGRATS Happy Birthday, love To Donna

  22. keep varying djs and types of what the guests play so attendance is a steady 100 to 120 at Newark and as we have kept to the same night for the last 3 .5 years Have kept a decent clientel who like a varied across the board policy EG Sept Chris Forrest Oct Ginger Taylor Nov Arthur Fenn Dec Soul Sam so we expect a varied playlist Andy Jackson predominantly Modern Jez more oldies Doug a cross of club/Motown and classic oldies, so hope that answers your request,PS September with Chris Forrest is pink night with a big raffle on the night in aid of Breast Cancer, and no matter who is guesting Admission always £3.00
