I was privileged to hear Ian Wills deliver an hour long tribute to Steve Whittle at Blackpool this afternoon. Also witnessed by his sons Mark and Lee. Very emotional and not an easy task for Ian. You did Steve proud. Well done pal. Clive

Such sad news to hear. Steve was a good friend, a real gent, a good man to say nothing of being a terrific DJ. He introduced me to new sounds, Wigan Athletic, a love that has stayed with me, Pemps and other pubs and clubs in Wigan, and too many shared good times together to list here. Can still remember Newquay. Sincere condolences to his family, sons Mark and David, and his many friends in the Northern Soul Community. RIP pal - Walk with a winner. Clive x
