  1. Yes! We’re crossing the Pennines for the first time next month, dropping our sweet honey down at Northern Quarter on the 28th of March! Expect bags of Soul. Of Rhythm. And, of course, bags of Blues too. And not just from us. For this occasion, we’re bringing Steve Cato along. Originally from Huddersfield, Steve has been involved in all sorts of nights and troubles in Manchester. From Soul Or Nothing to Different Strokes, he was also part of the gang responsible for the brilliant Manchester Soul Weekender. Sore legs the day after are guaranteed, folks, so go grab yer ticket here! £5adv / £8otd
  2. Get ready for a sweet and sweaty night in a dark room filled with music. And furniture. It’s part of the dancefloor, so don’t be shy and get on up. We’re playing at Big Hands on Wednesday 18th of December. Dropping Soul and drooling in Rhythm & Blues on a school night, folks. We’ll have Oliver Lambert, who’s probably made you dance in other rooms like Room At The Top and is one of the faces behind The 60s House Party Manchester. He’s got bags of stompers and finger-snapping records to play before and after the show with us, and for you. £5 tax on the door. No advance tickets this time around. Bring cash, or card or any other form of legal tender of your choice. And come early, just in case. The needle drops at 8pm and will only stop for the live music, obvs, and once the hour hand on the clock points to 3.
  3. A jar of tightly sealed original Soul & Rhythm & Blues at Dulcimer, in Chorlton, with a live show by The Honey Drops and Sam McEwen, from the Black Bee Soul Club, as the guest DJ.
  4. Jam on the Wall is Band On The Wall's unique and versatile new jam night on our bar stage, an intimate space to improvise, express yourself and connect through music, hosted by incredible musicians from around Manchester. The Honey Drops will host the jam on Tuesday 30th, playing some of their original Soul and Rhythm & Blues and welcoming fellow musicians on stage for a groovy jam. Free entry // Doors 9.30pm // Jam starts at 10pm
  5. Get your drippers at the ready, The Honey Drops are back at it! A sweet dose of Soul and fierce Rhythm & Blues will be delivered on Friday 8th of March at Dulcimer, in Chorlton two years (TWO YEARS ALREADY) after our sold out gig there. That room upstairs will be ours, and yours, and John Marriott’s. He’ll be our guest dj, to keep the night going after the live show. He’s been spinning some amazing tunes for years and years in the best Soul and Rhythm & Clubs in the country. He made The Honey Drops dance at the sadly gone Greatstone Hotel, and he’ll do the same with youse at Dulcimer. Get your tickets here!
  6. We've been quite I hear you say, but if you ask our neighbours in the honeycomb they might disagree, you see. We've been writing new tunes and re-writing our previous ones, and boy we got a jar full of the danceful stuff! They'll be ready for Saturday 26th of August when we hit the wonderful Carlton Club in Whalley Range. And so should you, because we'll have Martin Haddock, from Tuff Love Soul Club, spinning some sweet wax with us after the live show. Yea, you heard it. Now, you better prepare your shoes for some Soul and Rhythm & Blues!
  7. After our venture at Eagle Inn, we're now back in South Manchester for an energizing gig before our first ever expedition in town. More on that soon. For now, come and dance to songs you don't know yet. Live Soul and Rhythm 'n' Blues at Fuel Café Bar, in Withington. Tuesday 22nd of November, the date.
  8. The Honey Drops are taking over the Eagle Inn, in Salford, on the 7th of October for a Rhythm & Soul Rendez Vous. Live. In a small sweaty room with a great dancefloor. And, as usual, they'll be inviting along some friends with great records to dance to up until they kick us out. Charles Simpson, from Wigan, is the first guest. Get ready for some sweet, banging, stomping, finger-snapping and hand-clapping soul music. BOOSH! Get your tickets here!
  9. This event is now SOLD OUT. There'll be no tickets on the door!
  10. 1358206304_SUMMERDAYS.mp4 Nearly there!
  11. The second gig of the new Soul band The Honey Drops, from Manchester. After our debut at Carlton Club last May, we're back in action... and back in Chorlton. It'll get hazy, we'll go crazy and you'll wish it doesn't end. The Honey Drops will take away your blues. It'll be rhythmic. Danceful. Sweet. Mellow. Fierce. Band members will be spinning some of their favourite records, and we have also invited Ellie's Soulshop to round up what will be a wonderful night at Dulcimer, in the heart of Chorlton. Expect tons of Soul. And also Rhythm 'n' Blues, Boogaloo and Rocksteady. Come get another taste of honey! Click here to visit the Facebook event. And click here to buy yer ticket before it's too late (£5 + booking fee from Skiddle).
