  6. tootsie rollers, keep the guitar solo and bin the rest of the record, utter tripe in my opinion, even the group name is crap, tootsie rollers f.f.s. regards thhe chandlers i used to be of the same opinion as everyone else regarding the slow part , but over the years my tastes have changed and now i love it, a brilliant piece of production, breaks the song up perfectly for me

  13. i should coco, we'll be starting the season with the three best strikers from the championship, not a bad front line lambert , sharpe and rodriguez, if they can carry last seasons form over to next season there will be a few defences rattled

  15. hey, you keep that premier league trophy nicely polished, dont want you to be handing it over to us next august all dirty
  16. also done by johnny york on bev-mar
  17. have we not got a unusual passtime forum
  18. andy, i know its sunday and its pissing it down, but i really think you should find something more constructive to do, scrutinizing bid historys of pressings on ebay, its just not healthy mate
  19. hi steve, it was greety who had the professionals, i had to settle for the consolation prize of tamala lewis for 30 quid, think the professionals was 40, used to love those porthcawl nights, in fact the night in question was the first time i d.j'd at porthcawl, would have been about 1984, a mass wild west brawl broke out half way through my spot
  20. only a fool would argue with john and rob when it comes to things like this
  21. hardly off topic, but anyway, bottom line is, bootlegging of currant releases did go on in the states in the 50's and 60's, getting records pressed back then was very cheap, its still relativley cheap nowdays, theres a pressing plant that advertises on here that will do you 200 45's for 500 quid
  22. hmmmmm, thats a tough one, i think we should have a poll and put it to the vote, anyway shouldn't you be swinging on the end of a paint brush, its half nine
  23. yes they would and did take the risk, as did raynoma gordy when she pressed up motown stuff
  24. thats what i said dave
  25. it wouldn't have been booted retrospectivly for the northern scene, it would have been booted at time of release, as were a lot of records in the u.s. a lot of beatles on capitol are boots, if you were a distributor / or owner of a couple of record shops why buy stock in when you can press them up yourself and keep all the profit, i think the general concensus of opinion regarding this ric tic release when last discussed on here was that it was a bootleg originating from the pitsburgh area
