  1. It's that time of year again. Something I put together last year...I know it's simple... but I'm a fan of simple and the banal.
  2. Had a re-listen to this on my way to work this morning. Every word he spoke had me smiling and laughing. If you've got a spare 40 minutes, it's well worth a listen. His 1st choice is sublime and his luxury item comes as no surprise. Highly recommended https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m000701x

  3. Halfway through this and it's very good. If you're interested in podcasts I can highly recommend - Assume Nothing 'The Handler' on BBC sounds. Memoirs of a Special Branch officer during the troubles and how he handled IRA 'touts'
  4. Forget all that usual hype about great venue, best dance floor and cheap bar prices, put this place on your 'must visit' list. The music is top drawer. Residents Tony & Alan hold it together with a great selection of underplayed 'oldies' and the guest DJ's take it to another level. John Hillel and Ady Rushmore both played absolute blinding sets. Worth the £3 entrance just to hear John spin The Primers - 'how does it grab you' Hale. Along with a whole bunch of rarities, The Blue Jays, Eddie Whitehead, Tamala Lewis and many more. Next one is Friday December 27th. A guaranteed not to be missed night!!!
  5. Just started to re watch "Silicon Valley" it's on HBO via one of those 'dodgy' thingymajigs. It's a comedy set around a tech start up company. If you like nerdy tech stuff along with laddish behaviour you'll love it
  6. Thought I'd better introduce myself seeing as it's 2 years since I've been on here now. I was on here regularly early 2000's under the username Stamford but couldn't access my old account Got into soul like a lot of others via youth clubs, mod revival & the scooter scene. Dipped in an out over the years and sold up in 2008. Started collecting again 3 years ago, definitely wrong time to start if you want to buy back what you once had, but there's plenty I don't know at an affordable price so no complaints. Plenty of old names on here from before and I'm enjoying browsing all the 'new to me' topics. If you're ever in the area I'd recommend a visit to 45 revolutions at Sudden social club, Rochdale. Billed as rare & underplayed it definitely ticks a box for me. Thanks...Paul Adams
  7. Roscoe Robinson - He still lives in me album
