  17. I remember being at a local event which isn’t exactly the zenith or height of quality musically and one guy kept sitting on the floor demanding everyone does the oops upside your head dance… a couple weeks later I’m sat at home scrolling through Facebook and I see a video of the same club and there’s about 12 of them at it
  18. There are lots of songs that spring to mind and I’m one of those people that find it very difficult to place artistic things higher than one another because I usually like them for different reasons but here are a handful that do it for me that haven’t been mentioned yet. Tears Of Joy - Ray Merrell Danny White - Keep My Woman Home September Jones - I’m Coming Home Woman, Love Thief - Stemmons Express/Such Misery - The Precisions Do You Think There’s A Chance - Luther Ingram Got To Have Your Love - Roy Roberts
  19. Saving My Love For My Baby is one by her that I love and play out every now and again. Penned by JJ Barnes so has a fair bit of Detroit about it, has the mouth organ solo to end all harmonica solos & is really cheap at around 20ish pounds.
  20. I've spoken to Nancys husband who I occasionally buy records off (Nev Griffiths) and said she had collected a good few off of the label and also said he thinks she got 5K for her copy many moons ago... Regarding volume of copies he said its anyones guess but probably into double figures as plenty of older rare soul djs have copies.
  21. Hmm, would be interesting to know how many are currently in circulation.. Makes you think what sort of numbers Flodavieur pressed records in, obviously there's a few on the imprint that have the right sound.
  22. Now you mention it... I think thats what he said as well. I was half cut at the time in all fairness! Someone else (Can't remember who now) also told me Roger Banks used to play the same version around the same time.
  23. Fairdos... Can you remember who by? I was told there was only few known copies.
  24. Quite random this thread has come up and one i'm glad to have seen.. I was talking to Keb after Heart of Soul in Lewisham and he was trying to remember the name of the artist cos I often play the original cut by Rodge Martin & had read he used to play Susan Rewis' version at Stafford.
  25. Only person I’ve ever heard play Love Slave (Antellects)
