  1. If i had the money i would because I love the tune but I can't stretch to that mate, There was a couple on here for £200/£225 a few months back but I pissed about and because of buying other tunes I missed out on it, if you were to drop the price we could maybe come to an agreement?
  2. Jimmy Phillips looks like it's going to be almost impossible to get my hands on a copy so my attention has turned to the Huns Review. If you know where I can find a copy or someone that has one for sale I'd be grateful if you could get in touch Many Thanks Callum
  3. you seen 2 of em in sales boxes or you know of 2/3 copies? I know a few people who have copies but i think i'd have a better chance of winning the lottery than persuading any of em to let their copy go
  4. I know it's a really tough one but does anyone know of or have a copy for sale 'Jimmy Phillips - She Belongs To Me - Bumps' What A TUNE!
  5. got a mint del rays fortune teller on atco pm with offer mate.
  6. I like it when a dj gives it some on the mic, I usually go abit overboard on the mic (swearwords) or give it 'you thought that was good wait till you hear this stormer' etc, then introduce the record. Some people might not like this but it creates atmosphere. I remember I had a thing about using the mic I never used to like it but if you can introduce the next record(not every record) and build it so everyone is anticipating what tune your going to play next the floor usually stays full and the atmosphere buzzing, that is of course as the record you play next is the right one to play at that time. Nothing worse for me than a boring dj who looks like he doesn't really want to be there or someone who just waffles on about the label, year, title, artist etc, BORING!. I cant help it when i'm behind the decks, the music just takes over, with a little help from some alcohol
  7. Dudley steve has one i think he got it off ebay? I asked him it he fancied selling it but i didn't realise it went for that kind of money(i could think of much better records to spend that kind of money on), funnilly enough i think he got the hump with me as i've not heard off him since .
  8. Just sold one a couple of weeks ago for £80, seems to have picked up abit of interest just lately
  9. anyone got a soundfile of 'show me what you got', I dont know that one? cheers
  10. REDUCED £120 GRAB YOURSELF A BARGAIN CHEERS CALLUM.
  11. Soundfile of the big apple maybe marc not sure i know it?
  12. He does a great tune called 'Hang It Up' on King, thats another belter. Black Bottom Blues definately his best + Getting quite a few spins recently.
  13. Offers & Trades Are Welcomed Cheers
  14. Fred Bridges is the best version for me, More jazzy and classy than both the others(thats the mod in me). The wilson pickett is a great raw version someone mentioned earlier it sounded quiet? I had it on german 45 and it sounded great, awesome played out in a club. The Luther Ingram version still a great tune but for me has definately lost it's edge it had a few years ago it would defintely sound better pitched up. Close to call i'd love a copy of all three then play them all back to back, let the dancefloor decide .
  15. This is an upfront, hard edged in your face dancer that appeals to every scene Rnb, Northern, Mod etc. It never fails to rock the dance and lets face it that what it's all about . KING COLEMAN - BLACK BOTTOM BLUES - (FRENCH EP)PHILLIPS VG+ - £120 ON HOLD If anyone wants a listen, leave your number and I'll give you a call or you can just listen to my last played clip . If you're interested pm me Cheers Callum.
  16. RARE RNB POUNDER WILSON PICKETT - BABY DONT YOU WEEP - LIBERTY(GERMAN ONLY 45) LOOKS VG / PLAYS VG+ £80 + P+P PLAYS VG+, LOOKS VG BUT CAN ASSURE YOU I'VE JUST PLAYED IT ON THE DECKS AND IT SOUNDS GREAT. I DONT REALLY WANT TO GET RID OF IT BUT I HAVE TO TO FUND MY WANTS LIST. IT CAN BE HEARD ON WWW.SOULCLU B.ORG IF INTERESTED SEND ME PM CHEERS CALLUM.
  17. Think the other issue is rarer as everyone that i know has a clamike one. Great tune though I payed around £30 for mine. I think it's quite well known, it's a real sleazy piece of mod jazz it's a similar kind of sound to ernie fields - working out or willis jackson - swimming home baby. I love that dirty sax sound, I cant imagine it going down to well at the 100 club?
  18. I heard the vocal version played out by jhon at NMD by john, I remeber leaping out my chair thinking what the hell is this it absolutley blew me away, vocals on top of this great backing, what a belter. I'm not 100% on this but me thinks someone mentioned about simon hunt having a female version??? then again i may of been off my head and completely wrong Callum.
  19. very similar sound to 'rollers - troubles' they go great together
  20. £40 cheers joe , I've only seen 1 other copy since it was on ebay the auction ended for around $100 i think but it didn't meet the sellers reserve? it's one of those records you would call a pure mod record in my opinion cheers
  21. Whats the value mate? cheers Callum.
