  1. exactley my thoughts . Lee miller showed me his copy a few weeks back in leeds I thought he played it off the LP, I was well impressed when i seen it was on 45, it's a Fantastic record!
  2. Spot on with that Mr Pickles if the music is good why limit yourself with what you can play. I love my Rnb, Early Soul, Latin etc and would look to mix all these in when dj-ing. IMO a good dj will always mix it up, if you stick to one genre it all starts to sound very samey! Why not mix in oldies with underplayed soul followed by some latin, Rnb and funky soul. I say get it all in the mix, it's what makes a quality dj from a average dj!
  3. CP45 mate, I'm sure he'll snap your hand off at that price
  4. Rocking Female Rnb Dancer, has had some plays over the last year or so! Honey and The Bees - Almost Eighteen - Pentagram - VG+ £100 Pm if interested Many Thanks Callum!
  5. Up for grabs a failry unknown and hard record Rudy Lambert - Jamboree - Junior - VG - £120 (plays fine, little bit of background noise but I've dj-ed with it lots and it's always sounded great out loud) Very early sounding Popcorn dancer, Just to give you an idea it goes really well with stuff like Young Jessie - Brown eyes, Titus Turner - Coralee, Big Jack - Poor boy Song. It's that kind of early Rnb popcorn sound. I'm useless at soundfiles but can play it you down the phone if you're interested? Only ever seen 1 other copy of this which was a VG and went through ebay at about $190 it's on popsike. It's a very hard record! Pm if interested Many Thanks Callum
  6. Hi Folks, Up for grabs Mickie Champion - What Good Am I - Musette - VG+ (Original blue issue & plays great) £225 for quick sale Many Thanks Callum
  7. Needs no introduction a massive tune on the Rnb & Soul scene, always fills the floor Mickie Champion - What good am I - Musette - VG+ £250 Many Thanks Callum
  8. Just read parts of this thread and have to agree with you there mate very well put. Webby stop listening to tunes like louis neefs and start listening to tunes like JT Parker, Little Dooley, Jimmy Moore, Otis Lee, Tommy Andre and Sammi Lee all of which have massive Rnb influences then tell me you dont like Rnb . You obviously need educating otherwise you wouldnlt come on here making such ridiculous posts !
  9. Makes me sick how cnuts think it's ok to go round ripping decent people off who work hard to make a living, the scumbags. If there's anything I can do mate or you need any favours, you have my number just give me a bell! Hope it all gets sorted soon Callum
  10. Top tune, one of my current spins, all i need now is a copy of the magicians to play it with ! Other side aint too bad either as far a b-sides go!
  11. Bloody hell is that what it's going for these days . Well in that case I'll be holding onto it. It's a tough record mate, I think you'll struggle for £50, More like £200 me thinks.
  12. Great Tune, Great price! You aint got no more magicians for sale then Gib
  13. Hi Rich, Got a Eddie Kirk in VG+ plays great! It's not for sale but if you want to make me a decent offer you never know Cheers mate
  14. Course they've got big tunes, If you're a dj you need to have big rare tunes IMO. That Little Suzie that KH plays is one of the best records I've ever heard. It's the way they put the records together and build the atmosphere which does it for me. Not wanting to contradict myself here but I bet if you handed them a 100 box of £20 records they'd still get the dancefloor rocking! Then the £20 records would double if not treble in price , that's how it usually works. Like I say propr Dj's, they can read the floor like a book!
  15. Only been into the scene for around 7 years and have done a fair bit of travelling and seen quite a few dj's along the way. The best Dj for me and what I mean by best is making me want to dance for the full 1hr/45 minute set would have to be either Karl Heard, Mik Parry, Mace or Hoss. I do like my upfront 60's, soul + funk + Rnb as you can probably tell from my DJ selections. The thing about these dj's which makes them unique to most is there ablity to mix it up from Soul right through to Jazz. They also seem to find new fresh tunes without any compromise on quality. What I would Call Proper DJ's not just people who can afford splash out on big money rare tunes that will get the chin strokers excited. If you were to put them in front of a audience who have no idea of what Soul/Rnb scene is all about and they'll still get the place rocking!
  16. Same Seller! I nearly sealed the deal but couldn't bring myself to pay £690 or for that matter even £400. I'm pretty sure once the hype calms down I'll get one cheaper than that!
  17. For Sale: Mickie Champion - what good am I - Musette (original blue label) - VG+ £300 Many Thanks Callum.
  18. From what i can gather it's 2 copies. Out of interest did you buy the first one Ted?
  19. Sent E-mail, have a think and let me know. Payday is the 25th!
  20. Hi mate, Yeah I got a couple of copies within quick succession. I payed aorund $80 for my first copy and £20 for the second which I traded with my good mate Gav arno for a belting Pow Wow Cu, cant wait to spin it at LBB in easter. Are you over for it?
  21. Great tune, first heard Jodie spin this and was blown away. think you should get one for about £50-75!
  22. Bit unfair to say I know nothing about NS i have been travelling far and wide up and down the country/europe to all-niters/mod nights since i was about 16 so for about 7 years. I know it's nothing compared how long some folks have been into it but I do try to find new stuff all the time and not just chase the oldies! I Dont really know enough about modern or xover, I've treid istening to it but i just cant see the connection to uptempo gritty Rnb/Soul. The only modern track i remotely took an interest to was that one of the remix of the 'Nina Simone' track, sorry forgot the name, anyone know which one i mean? Cheers
  23. Bloody tax man aint charging you enough if you can afford to keep clarence reid he aint doing his job properly . I cant believe your selling the 'Sonny Knight' mate, A hard record that never turns up. Once it gets more action it's sure to be on lots of poeples wants lists. The Jay Walkers aint bad either .
