  1. Well, the handwriting is Pep's, typical of the 70's emi discs he used to get done in mid 70's As you say, probably something well known on the other side.
  2. Both look like boots - Eddie regan looks blurry compared to sharp print originals. I've never seen this boot of Little Hank looks, but I'm sure that's what it is - looks like it was done at the same time as Danny Monday, same angled Promo text.
  3. Mark-Keys - offer accepted and record is reserved

  6. No probs - thanks for that anyway. Still need info on this preson - anyone ??
  7. Still in need of a contact for this preson - anyone any idea ??
  8. Thanks for that - If he's from Ludlow then I reckon it's not him - this guys envelope has a Preston area postmark, and the cheque address is similar. See if anything else crops up today, I'll bump thies post a few times if necessary. Thanks for your help Mick
  9. I honestly don't know - this is the thing. This morning I received a cheque in the post from a Mr M Nichols - no clue as to who this is , or what it was for, although I'm 99% sure it's an order for a record off my web site, and the guy just forgot the covering letter, so if this rings a bell with anyone then please let me know It may be Shinehead, could you PM an email or some contact info.
  10. Probably the wrong place but ... If there's a Mr M Nichols out there, could he contact me please. He is probably in the Preston area, if anyone knows who this is, could they PM me with a contact email or address.
  11. Anyone know how rare "Chains Of Love" / "Keep On Smiling" is, can't really be just a test press can it ?? Cheers Mick Holdsworth https://northern-soul-records.com https://motownsound.co.uk
  12. "Blowing My Mind" is a Runi-Juni prod, and "Girl You're My Kind .. " is a Fortune Cookie Prod in all Orange or Yellow cases
  13. Tim Asibende would be able to shed more light in this - I was at his place about 12 or more years ago when he showed me a contract between the artist (whose name escapes me, but was not Justin) and the label. To be more exact it was a sort of "end of contract", releasing (sacking?) the artist from Down East, whist the label would continue to use the name "Justin" for any further recordings. I don't know at what point in time this happened, whether it was after "What Can I Do / Right On" and before the "Place Where Sorrow Hides" , or after both releases. If it's the former then it would mean "Sorrow" is a different artist from the two previous tracks. Cheers Mick Holdsworth https://northern-soul-records.com https://motownsound.co.uk
  14. Oh, see what you mean now, didn't read it properly. No. I don't know of this - do we know who the "certain dealer" is? Maybe he can shed light Cheers Mick Holdsworth https://northern-soul-records.com https://motownsound.co.uk
  15. "I've just discovered this ... , no one else in the world has it"
  16. Don't think this is a list of OOTP, just a list that ISC put out of stuff for sale, including some OOTP records and a lot of others that were not OOTP. Cheers Mick Holdsworth https://northern-soul-records.com https://motownsound.co.uk
  17. The song by the Younghearts is a "Short" version - except for some (not all) boots which have the "Full" version. I know both white and yellow Canterbury originals with the title "Little Togetherness" are the short versions, as is the Tempos artist variation, but I have recently found an identically labelled "Little Togetherness" and it was the Full version. The Full version contains an extra full verse and chorus, along the lines of .. Now you don't have to be, baby, A milionaire ... Just stick with me baby ... etc. The Kings of Hearts is the Short version, and the New Younghearts on Soultown is the Full version (which I had previously thought was the first release of the long version). Hope this helps. Cheers Mick https://northernsoulrecords.com
  18. Do you mean "I'm A Lonely Man" ? - not many of these about Cheers Mick Holdsworth https://northern-soul-records.com https://motownsound.co.uk
  19. This is the boot of Appreciations. Most, not all, were printed off center. This is unfortunately a bad example, and other boots did at least show the title correctly. Cheers Mick Holdsworth https://northern-soul-records.com https://motownsound.co.uk

  21. Yes, Steve, I realised soon after I said it, from the above postings. The '69 MF issues have both solid and cut out centres (most are cut out, like the demo). I didn't even know the record had been issued in '71 with a different 6052 list number with a solid centre, and presumably cut out center aswell. Also, the reissue I was talking about that was a different mix with a solid centre, was Neils '79 custom / phonograph reissue, until a couple of days ago that was the only reissue I was aware of. Just found a 6052 - - the B side is different - "A Brand New Me" - this is '71 The MF release has "Go Away - Find Yourself" as the B side. Cheers Mick Holdsworth https://northern-soul-records.com https://motownsound.co.uk
  22. Makes sense, about 1970 or very soon after, Philips stopped doing the White / Red demos, so a reissue from '71 probably had no demo This must have been the different mix - must admit, I've had many of both, and never noticed the list number change. Cheers Mick Holdsworth https://northern-soul-records.com https://motownsound.co.uk
  23. Your copy "without centre" is the first issue. The "solid centre" is a reissue - and a different mix, possibly stereo if I remember right. Cheers Mick Holdsworth https://northern-soul-records.com https://motownsound.co.uk
  24. What crumb?? (Sorry - forgot you couldn't get a legal Marvin Gaye aprt from the 90's limited issue - so yes, that is ONE crumb amongst 50)
  25. Just remembered - it's by Eddie Leon on Leon records - about '97 or so Cheers Mick Holdsworth https://northern-soul-records.com https://motownsound.co.uk
