I fact all tracks use original Brunswick backing tracks (and in some cases backing singers) - I love the album - her versions of the Chi-lites "Have You Seen Him" and "Oh Boy" are two of my faves.

Some of their stuff seems to be sound files taken from the net or just knicked from DJ sets or Radio shows.
I say this because firstly, the CD's seem to have occasional tracks that are to "new" for legal CD's (eg Lil' Major Williams appeared on one CD way before it was readily available - that's assuming that is even on a Legal CD yet?).
Secondly, I heard one at a party a couple of years ago, and whilst the sound quality of most tracks were OK (just simple CD rips or reasonable mastering from records), one or two tracks noticably dropped in quality - as if they had been though a few file conversions to get a cda track.

Internationals - Just sold one for £100 (about 6 months ago) - Don't know if that's the going price these days but it seemed about right at the time.

Bit confused here - tried it a couple of hours ago and it works fine - that's .... Home > Buy > Music > Records > 7" Singles > R&B Soul
Just tried again - still OK

First I ever heard of the Greek copies of Frank or Dee Dee were when Ian Clarke had a quantity of them in the very early eighties - I think he knocked them out for either £4.00 or £6.00 each (I know I spent £12.00 but I might have had 3 records for that - can't be that exact)
I know it was at the time when a Sassy copy would fetch about £3 or £4, so it seemed like a good investment at the time, but when copies seemed to be everywhere (presumably from Ian - enough copies to satisfy anyone who wanted on at the time), I ended up selling them soon after - Dee Dee turns up regularly, but Frank seemed to be a little more elusive.

Yeah Pete, neither did I until recently - first one was the copy I saw recently which sparked my interest, and since this Wants post, I've located one more, albeit in rough condition, so I probably won't be having it.

Well, the basic answer is President would have the rights to U.K. release in 1966.
A discography for UK President can be found here ...
https://www.45cat.com/label/president
The Johnny Wyatt listing is for October 1966 - although a reissue scan is used in the discography (same as 108 - Viola Wills above it)
Most "Original" Johnny Wyatts for sale are reissues - here's a real one ...
Hope that helps

Hello-
Being a Len Barry nut, I would be interested in this - can you be more specific - is it an EP with more tracks, vinyl or acetate - can you scan the labels?

Although when you think about it "Your Number 1" as per the original, is wrong, and the 70's repress saying "You're Number 1" is a correction.

Hello
I'm after a copy of Marlena Shaw / Let's Wade In The Water - Not US original, but the reissue on UK Chess from the about '71 / '72.
Thanks

I noticed that too - some one was actually listing a 1p Freepost record and stating postage on top in the description - now that could backfire on him.
Another thing I've seen is "freight" instead of "Free Post" as the method - (again seller has just stated post on top in description).
I think this will have a few loopholes / glitches for a while, but eBay will probably tighten it up and throttle us soon enough.

Can't think of any artist reusing a backing from one of their own songs, but an artist using some other backing is quite common practice - maybe not in it's original form - just sampled loops etc.

I have one on my site - Italian UA in a Pic Sleeve - £30.00

The green or white boots do sometimes go for lots of money even when advertised as boots ... I myself sell them on and off for that kind of money.
My gripe is the boots being advertised as original, when they are clearly no such thing ...
Mick
Don't know about you but I'm fed up of seeing the bootleg white demos of Epitome Of Sound being sold off as originals.
There's yet another one on eBay right now - This are the heavy duty pitted labels like Dave Newman / Idle Few etc.

Suppose this'll go for 3 figures and buyer will be non the wiser - wait another 3 weeks and up it'll come again.
