  1. Dunno then, maybe you have some option selected, like "Listing Designer".Go and fill in the form again and go upto the submit page (obviously without clicking) - Then check to see what you have - listing designer or "Buy It Now" / Reserve would have all been outside of the promotion - extra pictures is another, there may be more. - Other than that I don't know - You were listing on the UK site ??? Put up a link to one of the listings, I'll see if I can work it out for future ref. Cheers Mick Holdsworth
  2. Bit late now, but the promotion was only valid if you listed manually through the "Sell Items" Form. If you used Turbo Lister or something similar, then you paid as normal. eBay probably made a few million yesteday just on that alone. Cheers Mick Holdsworth
  3. I've got one here ... https://motownsound.co.uk/ukmotownrecords.shtm .. about halfway down the page .. TMG 1093 Vg++ (my grading Vg++ is about Ex/Ex+) Cheers Mick Holdsworth
  4. Pete, If you mean the current one, I thought it looked pale blue. But if you meant this one ... .. you're right, it does look off-white, and that was the problem, because in reality it looked nothing like this, due to duff scanner. Cheers Mick
  5. That a doctored image - Everything is blue - god knows why, probably scanner on it's last legs. The pale blue originals can cause a problem with scanners - my scanner would scan it almost white , causing me the very same problems as highlighted in this thread. - In fact the quote "Please note, this is the Light Blue label Original press with Blue Text, and not the 70's white label reissue with similar blue text." was my quote, as was the image, which I enhanced to make it a bit more blue. Still looks whiter than it really was. I'm sure the ebay record which started this thread was a real one Cheers Mick Holdsworth
  6. I'm after a Joe Pirolli - Oh Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, if anyone can help Thanks Mick Holdsworth
  7. Still after a copy of this one - the "rough" one I was getting never materialised - so ... anyone ?? It's this specific 1972 release I'm after, not a 12 inch or anything like that. Cheers Mick
  8. Just had a look at Pat Bradys auction site - Some very nice RCA black stock records there. Then I happened to see the Sandra Phillips ... https://www.northerns...ail.asp?id=1376 Obviously a mistake (He has the boot in stock for £20 - same image), but it's not going to help him sell it for £100.00 or more. Cheers Mick Holdsworth
  9. The photos on Tina Masons LP are of Judy Street I don't know why that happened, but John Manship may be able to throw some light onto that - It was from one of his notes when he had the LP in stock / auction years ago, that I picked that bit of info up. Cheers Mick Holdsworth
  10. That's right , but you must have a certificate and / or receipt from PO. You're still covered up to £39 (at the moment - more in April I'm sure) When you fill in the claim form send a copy of the eBay page or copy of the Paypal Transaction - better if you send both. Half the time for amounts like £12, they don't bother to invesigate, but even if they do you should get that back. I generally have to claim about once or twice every two years - last one was only last October for £24.00 - It was sorted by the end of November with a full refund. Cheers Mick Holdsworth
  11. Hello Dave, Almost forgotton about that one - it was a 444 Acetate - think it went to Tim Ashibende, and a few months later found another one, again moved it on. I think the problem was that they were demo takes only, with hardly any instumentation - The copy I had off you was like new, the second one was quite rough, with a big label tear, but a slightly better recording - a little more instumentation, but still lacking that ummph. Wish I had the "other" Chris Jackson song - crackles and pops would not be turned away (Hello John P) Cheers Mick Holdsworth
  12. It was actually the backing track to JJ Barnes' version, remixed with tamborine added. I was with Neil when he did the instrumental, a couple of weeks after the main recording with JJ which I missed. As far as I remember, it never got past a Test Press stage, with one of his earlier releases on the back, might have been Jimmy S Clark or Johnny Bragg - something like that. I know I had one at the time - pure white labels - don't know if I have it now. Don't think Neil did many of them, as it was only a test press - I'm sure he can add to this. Cheers Mick Holdsworth
  13. Think it is just that one. 652 - Take Me ... / Why When ... Cheers Mick Holdsworth
  14. That's the one with Dynatones on the flip - thought it was a Soul Sounds thing - Just noticed the number series is the same as Dave's Tams / Chubby ... EVD being HT 1206 A / B Was that the Soul Sounds numbering, or something else like Magic etc ? Cheers Mick Holdsworth
  15. Don't think anyone has mentioned the Moments / Sharp LP, with "I've Got The Need" and "Just Having Your Love". If so then apologies Cheers Mick Holdsworth
  16. and a Vg+ for $4.99 ... https://cgi.ebay.com/...=item5d2714b404
  17. Theres's loads - If you think of all the rare stuff on national labels like RCA / MGM / Columbia etc, the list could be a very big one. As to why they're rare, each has it's own story. Cheers Mick Holdsworth
  18. The LP version of Larry Santos is different though - extra bit in the middle. Cheers Mick Holdsworth
  19. Dave 45 RPM is on the columbia label - it's part of the logo at the top Cheers Mick Holdsworth
  20. There's Brenda Holloway's re-recording, but compared to the other two .... Cheers Mick Holdsworth
  21. Hi Dave I remember having that as a cover up (Agents?), and selling it to you still covered up in the early eighties. In the wake of that you found other stuff on the label like the Soul Blenders etc. Can't remember where I got the Gary Sole from, but it would have been either Sam or Gary Rushbrooke. Cheers Mick Holdsworth
  22. You didn't win it did you ???
  23. Never notice that - yes it is the same seller.
  24. Benji, A real white demo looks like this ... Sharp and clear text. Whilst the bootleg white demo looks like this ... Slightly blurred text - pitted label - very heavy duty vinyl - just like boots of Dave Nemman & Idle Few. Cheers Mick
