    This one is the 1975 issue from Australia - It's actually a different mix without the Four Seasons - Franki Valli sings the opening lines which I think Is unique to this release. Australia also had a 1972 release on Mowest - only ever seen a demo, but I'm sure it was issued. It has MW3002 in brackets under the release number. Cheers Mick

    Well, I had it for about 4/5 years - late 70's early 80's - It was rough but played OK, albeit a bit flat In all that time I probably played it out 2/3 times at most. I have a vague idea I eventually sold it to either Gary Rushbrook or Guy Hennigan. - 30 years down the line I agree, I should have kept it, but at the time ... Since Des mentioned Vidalia, it is sparking another memory - wasn't Vidalia the Production company behind "Sam Williams" etc. Cheers Mick

    Been sorting through old tapes and have been meaning to ask this before. I had an acetate years ago and put it on a tape as a last track. Unfortunately, the tape ran out half way through. On the listing I wrote "True True Lover" / "Robert Bateman" , although I'm sure that was a "Cover Up" title. I'm sure the acetate is out there somewhere, circa 1980/81. I hope this rings a bell with someone, and they can give me any details I've posted a clip from my tape (Sorry its only half there.) Uncredited - True True Lover - Cheers Mick

    No probs John, although as I said earlier in the thread, I have no idea where I got that scan from, and It would also seem it is a fake. - does anyone have a genuine label scan, or even a description of what the label looks like - I know one or two have (or had) a copy, and the only thing I can work out it the label is a bit basic.     Been trying to find out where I got that Bunky scan from - I thought it was this site a few years back, but I've just wasted an hour of my life in a fruitless search. It never occured to me but that font does look wrong - looks just like it's been lifted from the the yellow copy. Cheers Mick

    This is the second box set they did - the "in demand" record in here is Chris Clark - Do I Love You, backed with the Frank Wilson Alternate take (from Motown CD mid 90's) Until recently the FW/CC was normal price - seems that in itself is actually selling for £30-£50 nowadays (at least on eBay it is) Cheers Mick

    You could be right about the 65 representing 1965 - as you say, other labels do use this kind of prefix - HSI Prix springs to mind. It could be that it was originally scheduled for 65-15, before that number was reallocated to June Jackson. I'm sure that the 76 does mean something but not 1976. The bootlegs predate that year, so the orig release would have been before that (might have been a mistake and they meant 66-9151 ??) Cheers Mick

    I've been trying to remember what the alternate label and credits were to Bo Kirkland & Ruth Davis - "You're Gonna Get Next To Me" - Claridge. I seem to remember a pale blue label, very basic in design (possibly Jamaican?) with unrecognisable Artist and Song Title credits. I had one in my hands about 4/5 months ago but simply can't remember any of the details. Hope this rings a bell with someone - I don't think the record is rare at all, just that you wouldn't recognise it as that song unless you play it. Thanks Mick

    I think he means restore the recording digitally. The problem (challenge?) would be the opening 12/15 seconds - Although Jerrys vocal is there, the music seems to have completely dissapeared. Cheers Mick

    Tthe California Playboys LP with "Just Say A Four Letter Word" - (I can't remember the title - anybody ???) - I'd say that was reasonably in demand. New sounds - Turbo LP - (Surprisingly a copy on this site went recently for £250 - I thought that was cheap). Cheers Mick Holdsworth
