  1. Pink ??? - I've never seen one - Just original White and 70's Blue/Orange with palm tree logo.
  2. Does anyone know the recording and release date of Dean Courtney - I'll Always Need You Thanks Mick
  3. Pete When I first had it, I thought it might be, as there was staining a bit like yours on one of the sides - but there was absolutely no hint of pale blue (or pale yellow), just sharp black print on an off white label, again just like yours. Other than that - God knows! Mick
  4. Yes Pete - had it about 4/5 years ago - Carl Willingham had it off me Cheers Mick
  5. Most of the Doni Burdick "Sound Impression/Patterns" tracks made use of Detroit backing tracks - I Miss My Baby / If You Walk .. / I Have Faith / Candle - (I'm sure "Open The Door" is also the backing from one of the many 60's recordings, I just can't place it at the moment). I was always under the sound impression that they were all sing-a-longs some years after the original music was recorded - maybe late Sixties or even 1970/71. As each backing track is the same as the (slightly) earlier original, but a different mix (even different backing singers in the case of "I Have Faith"), then I would have thought that Doni Burdick openly and legally obtained these master backing tapes from GW to re-record himself, or in the case of "I Miss My Baby", produce an instrumental mix and not re-sing it. Cheers Mick
  6. Thanks - The one I'm after is Dana Valery - Having You Around / Zabadack ( 44389 ) Cheers Mick
  7. Think your right Bri, I assume it was actually released, just as her other two Columbia records were. As this also got a 45 release in SA on CBS, it does seem likely that US red copies are about, but I have never seen one. I just need it to fill in a gap. Cheers Mick
  8. Come to think of it ... just checked and found a listing for this as a US release .. 2384 - Chuck Jackson - I Got The Need / Beautiful Woman - 1977 I don't think this exists.
  9. Are you thinking of the Moments versions - they are LP only . I'd never heard CJ's version of "I've Got The Need" before the UK release - "Beautiful Woman" by him was also new to me, but as pointed out by Louise, the US release of this is also on 45 - Or is it - can't find any listing for it as a Voc/Inst ???
  10. Anyone have one of these ? Cheers Mick
  11. That version, covered up as Bob Seeger System, was by J.C. Messina

Anyone seen this before ? Cheers Mick
  13. Audio Lathe was bought out about 2 or more years ago by 1uptechnologies ... just checked that and it is now 1upmultimedia.com/dubplate.html I used to use Audio Lathe as an alternative to Vinylcarvers - they were cheap, quick and good - $20 for a double sided 7" Unfortunately 1uptechnologies are very expensive - $37 plus insane shipping rates - and of course the TOTAL value PLUS shipping will get declared on the customs. I ended up paying about £95 total including customs charges for 2 x 7" acetates. Both were OK in quality, but they took so long to do them, and send them - plus customs delay, all in about 8 weeks. In fairness, the exchange rate was $1.40 something so it wouldn't be quite as expensive now in UK terms, but i bet it would be about £80 for 2 acetates Don't go there. Mick
  14. This is the French 4 tops ep with "Anything I Can Do" on it - The typesetter wasn't gloomy that day. Cheers Mick
  15. Here's a Test Press label of 127 - quite hard to get. Other side is "Keep On Smiling" Cheers Mick
  16. Hovever the standard version is on the other side Mick
  17. Never seen the Picture Sleeve to it - always thought it never had one - Scan ??? Cheers Mick
  18. Sounds exactly the same to me - could be my memory failing though
  19. I think you're right - I mentioned earlier there was a later press. The first press was promoted in Yellow (See post #25). Apart from the colour, the typeface and layout is identical) The second press was promoted in White - Identical credits and list number, but different type face and layout - clearly some time after the first one. I've never seen (or noticed) a black release to line up with the white demo), but i'd say that the new cover on the second post is the cover for this release. Mick
  20. Hi David Yes - Here's scans of all 3 ... Cheers Mick
  21. Promoted three times ... first - 24 / 11 / 72 then - 13 / 4 / 73 finally - 13 / 7 / 73 Cheers Mick
  22. The Opening Post ? - Well the cover looks like the standard Italian sleeve - can't see the details of the Stibbe disc from the scan - I assume there's no clues on the label. I've never seen it before, It could be Dutch, or could be somewhere else , as it was released in countless countries. somehow I don't think the sleeve it right for the disc - what's the List number on the disc ?? UPDATE - just found one on eBay - It Is Dutch - housed in Italian sleeve. Heres a link ... https://cgi.ebay.co.u...=item2c56b3cdc7 Cheers Mick
  23. Durium is an Italian label - with a very large catalogue of releases - Think Festival/Australia or Quality/Canada ... or even EMI/UK
  24. There are two different Italian Jukebox demos for that list number. This is the Original ... There are also white Durium demos on the same list number, but are clearly a very early 70's press. Cheers Mick
  25. Most of the major US labels - Okeh / Loma / MGM / RCA / Columbia - Loads of others. In the UK is has to be EMI and all the sub labels - and that is still excluding Tamla Motown Cheers Mick
