  1. Nice one Tim, never thought I'd ever see a photo of her. Did you snap that pic yourself in '91, or did she give you a photo of herself from sometime earlier ? Cheers Mick
  2. I see my commissions were auto paid on 1st Nov, but hadn't checked since. it does seem to be down though. Have to wait and see.
  3. For me, it would be when I bought this, a couple of years ago . . . https://www.popsike.com/SPACE-ROCKIN-i-cant-fight-the-feeling-you-changed-me-DYCO-45/151783808187.html The seller couldn't believe his luck, so gave me free shipping ! Componded with a 20% Paypal discount voucher, It worked out at about £130 all in. Should add the "g" condition refered to the paper cover (Goddamn crease). the record was mint. Sold it for £2K in cash and trades. Cheers Mick
  4. The label difference is hard to describe, firstly the original is a clean bright yellow, where as the reissue is a duller, less vibrant yellow. Text is laid out exactly the same, however the the reissue is thicker text, and very clear (ie modern laser printing) Here's the two images, taken from discogs. First one is the Original . . . . . . and next the reissue . . . Cheers Mick
  5. It's the Jazz version, I believe it to be a few years after the Modern recording.
  6. It does sound like her, more so on "party". Others may know more though
  7. First time I saw it was on a Frankford Wayne acetate mid nineties.
  8. George Mitchell - Mr Teardrop(s) Cheers Mick
  9. Not really used as stiffners, but I did once have a bunch of records used for packing. All green RCA line dance records. so no bargain for me.
  10. A typical parcel from US to UK would be around $14 (that was a thick one - about 30mm - with lots of packing). Can't find on now, but a thinner parcel is a bit less. Sellers generally charge $12 - $15, which lines up with above, plus a little for the package. Cheers Mick
  11. Yes, that's the first release
  12. I think JM had one a few years back on auction, but it may have been Argentinian - I seem to think it was a different colour to yours.
  13. To the "Licensed Exclusively to Soul Galore Productions" add . . . ASHFORD ASH 1001 LORRAINE CHANDLER – I CAN'T CHANGE / WHAT CAN I DO
  14. Here's LC version . . . Cheers Mick
  15. The Tami Lynn / Polydor is an Irish release, and shares the same release number as UK Mojo
  16. I know it#s not much help to you, but it is listed here . . . https://www.globaldogproductions.info/m/maurci.html
  17. Could be - Think I remember another track by Harry Betts played, might have been the B side, again, as you say, probably a mistake. Thinking about it, they are probably forgotten, but hardly monsters. Cheers Mick
  18. I think I only heard this played once, so probably forgotten.
  19. Almost exactly the same for me - If it's Ok with you, I'll just change a few words and let you say the rest . . . " . . . WMCA - Warstones , Wolverhampton 73/4 ish Quite a few of us went, and quite a few of us then went on to the nighters, Not really on the scene today, more interested in the music than the scene. The one record, as soon as I hear it takes me straight back to the youth club is Paul Anka "Can't Help Loving You". Others include The Casualeers "Dance Dance Dance", Al Wilson "Help Me", Checkerboard Squares "Double Cookin" ( I still call it "Strings A Go Go"). . . ."
  20. Add to that Velvelettes with "Lonely Lonely Girl Am I" and of couse "In My Lonely Room" from Martha Reeves
  21. I have that one too, but on mine labels are the wrong way around. Don't know it they were all done like that.
  22. Here's two from Immediate . . . "Everybody's gonna say that everything is alright. If they don't then boy there's gonna be a fight" (PP Arnold) . . . and a slight variation . . . "Everybody wants to know that everything is alright. I guess they thought by now we'd had a great big fight" (Chris Farlowe / Dee Dee Warwick - We're Doing Fine) Cheers Mick
  23. I'll start with this one . . . "There's something inside of me that tells me" is the opening line to both sides of Gary Sole - Holdin' On / Soul Light Touch
  24. Here's one to think about. Two (or more) different songs that use either the same unique phrases, or a very minor variation. They could be by the same artist, but don't have to be. They could also be the A and B side of a release, or they coulld just be from the same company and / or songwriters. Again, the don't have to be. Just post the line, and the two (or more) different song titles that use the line. Obviously there's tons of songs that use very common short phrases (eg. "I love you") so no need to bother with that kind of thing. I'm thinking of much longer phrases. I've got a couple that spring to mind, but that's all I can think of. There must be quite a few. Cheers Mick
