  1. Just got the link to work (link is fine, it was me). Yep, that's the one. I used to have an Eddie Regan H&S that was just un punched. Still got a few like it now.
  2. Can't use the link, but could be the US release without the middle being knocked ouy. It happened a lot with just about anything New York. (we always called then New York presses, but there may have been similar occurances in other places) I know Richard had TOD in that format.
  3. Aurora was spelt wrong on the plain grey copies. something like Arora, or Aruora. Also record was booted on plain white OOPT
  4. Brilliant. Love it / them.
  5. I just wonder if this wasn't a well crafted script the two people did, just to make a funny video. If that is the case (just an impression), I think it's brilliant. However, if these two are really looking for records, then I wonder if they asked the flight attendant on the flight over, if they had the airplane song. "Or owt" "No ??" "Bet Arthur Fenn's grabbed 'em on the last flight" Either way, great to watch.
  6. Hmm, as you pointed out, the Nashville Matrix does looks wrong on closer inspection. It's also in the wrong place relative to the runout, so I'm not so sure now.
  7. Don't know about the seller, but the record is real. Hard to tell from the first image, but the Nashville Matrix is clearly shown on the third image, as is the Gold tint to the text. Actually, as Chalky pointed out, the Nashville Matrix looks wrong on closer inspection. It's also in the wrong place relative to the runout, so I'm not so sure now. Cheers Mick
  8. To be honest that looks like a hand printed label stuck on the record. maybe because orig label was damaged, or maybe it's a soultown copy underneath. Whoever did the label used a Date blank and only changed some info, using different typeface etc. The 45 RPM / ZSP150490 / 2:05 and the Arranged . . . etc. are unchanged from a different record (was the Steelers mentioned ?), whereas the rest of the text is a new typeface (you can see the difference in the Van McCoys).
  9. 30 seconds difference, and a different ZSP number.
  10. Just means the middle has been punched out off centre (as per the record in the link) - to play it you'd have to align it yourself each time, or make a new middle to centre it up yourself
  11. I only remember "the crisis has yet to come", I see it is the other side (of Paulette)
  12. Sounds a bit like an 80's Solar track, someone like the Whispers - maybe it's an LP track by them.
  13. All demos are this way - It was released as the correct titles on the labels (Reaching / Here .. ). It's just the demos that have the wrong record in the groove
  14. I really like the version of "Trust In Me"
  15. To answer the other half of your question, the pink copies were bootlegs.
  16. I used to have an ATCO copy, but I think it may have been Canadian. Gave it to John Pugh many years ago as it was one title he was trying to collect all the label variations on.
  17. Same here - even today! - Merry Christmas everybody.
  18. O'Jays version for me, but only just above Linda Jones
  19. Looking for a copy of the Bill Brown / Soul Injection demo of "Love Under The Apple Tree". I missed it on when they were released a couple of weeks ago at £20.00 Quite happy to pay a bit more if someone has a spare, maybe £30 (Is that reasonable ?) Cheers Mick
  20. I've also used this method many times and once you get the hang of it (ie. leave for 24, or even 48 hours, and make sure the covering is 100 percent on the play area - into the runout but not up to the label, and right up to the outer edge), then it works great. It should look like the picture from Russ. Solid white / cream when it is wet, and going clear when it begins to set. See about 3 o'clock on the One-Derful record. If, after a long time you still see a single spec of white, don't touch it, just wait until it is fully clear. When done, gently tease off a start on the outer edge and it should peel off. If it flakes and little bits stay on the record, just recoat it and the flakes will bond with the fresh glue. Remember, this is a deep clean method, it won't repair damaged records. Cheers Mick
  21. Did a re-edit of Dante for Soul Sam a few years back, but never clocked the Curtis song. Really like it.
  22. This could go either way
  23. There are a few of the 5531 without "The Mirettes" printed on the label, but most are printed correctly.
  24. It's another thread in this forum. Tim started it last week . . .
