  1. What a time for your browser to crash eh!
  2. Looks like he has two of 'em. Shrine master tape 1 Shrine Master tape 2 Something fishy going on? John.
  3. Rarer!!!??? It was a zillion seller and certainly a big hit for Ric Tic. I think it likely that all the vinyl ones are boots - but the one I saw on Saturday definately was. John.
  4. If it's Kev's I had a good look at it on Saturday night and I'm convinced it's dodgy. Because: 1) It is vinyl with moulded on label not styrene. 2) The ZTSC number is scratched on. 3) It looks and feels too new and fresh (subjective I know). 4) The sound quality is appalling. Compating it to mine, the label is a fuller red colour, it's styrene with ZTSC number stamped and it plays clear as a bell. I reckon it's either a boot or a counterfeit. In the case of a boot I can't understand why anyone would want to, it's not rare and copies are easily available. If counterfeit well, there are a myriad of reasons why artist, staff, musicians would want to do this but I'm not convinced due to the "newness" of it. I concluded it was an ill advised boot from the 80's and dubbed from an original record. If I'm wrong well at least I bumped your post so we can get some other views. Best, John.
  5. Good for you Pete! Exactly what I expected to happen. Good guys are always worth investing in. Best, John.
  6. They are Pete and I drooled too when I saw them. Are you saying that they are worth more than the seller wants for them. Are you buying to sell on? Just trying to help - depending on answers, someone may come up with the dosh as an investment (sadly not me though ) John
  7. Good grief! It's a boot and a horrible one at that. I've reported it to ebay (as if that'll help!) Number is obscured but: RT109 was of course Edwin Starr - Stop Her On Sight and RT109x was Edwin Starr - Scott's On Swingers (demo only, unreleased) Motown did buy Ric Tic rights, I assume they still own them. The "part 2" bit intrigues me though, I didn't know there was a part 2.... Best, John
  8. I'm with Simsy on the Jerry Williams. Anybody mentioned: Kim Toliver - Where Were You Bessie Banks - Try To Leave Me If You Can Will Downing - Grandma's Hands John. Oh and if I could add: Luther Vandross - Dance With My Father
  9. It's the no centre that's gonna make it difficult to price. I have a good part of my collection on UK labels and very rarely consider anything with no centre. Although it's pretty rare so may get up tp £100 if vinyl condition is top notch. Not from me though I'm afraid........... Best, John.
  10. 3) Glenn Jones - I Am Somebody 2) David Sea - Night After Night 1) Garfield Fleming - Don't Send Me Away .....or at least today it is anyway (imo) John.
  11. Wonderful record & best version in my view. Agree your pricing. £40 tops. John.
  12. Hope you get it mate, it's a classic. Check out the Curtis Mayfield version (original?) too, on the Sweet Exorcist album. John.
  13. Not true John I'm afraid. They should have anticipated traffic and built in contingency. To say they needed live traffic is a poor excuse with no technical substance to it - i.e. they are "pulling the wool over your eyes". And tell 'em I said so!! John.
  14. I usually stay in. At Paul's house.
  15. Clearly I have too much time on my hands! Did seem to work well though, that's a reasonable price but perhaps we should have factored in Nectar points or overdraft fees etc. Just ebay the bloody things and buy from Pete! Best, John.
  16. I would: 1) Look at Manship's and half his prices to get top "real" price. 2) Take average from Popsike & Gemm. 3) Do a search on here to see what any others have sold for recently. Half of Manship's price + popsike/Gemm average + average of recent sales on here, divided by 3 should give you fairish price. Other than that, it's gut feel based on experience or ask for offers! John.
  17. David, I have KR original & Chess Uk issue. I'm not aware of a picture sleeve though, have never seen/heard of one. Can anyone else help? John.
  18. "God Only Knows" why anyone would consider the Glenn Campbell track as soul. Awful.
  19. Agree with most of above (except maybe Temptations?), in addition I'd nominate: Yvonne Fair - It Should Have Been Me Hit Pack - Never Say No To Your Baby John.
