I believe Neo-soul is a genre of its own which has evolved from classical soul, whether this is the same as New soul I am not sure. The reason I am looking for a book is because I want to find out more. I believe the artists listed by Geeselad are indeed Neo-soul performers. I want to find any information about what defines the genre, how it evolved, what the contributions of different artists are. Its a good book I need.

can anybody recommend a good book on Neo Soul in general. I have several biographies of various artists, but I am looking for a book that is more general about the genre as a whole. Does anybody have a recommendation? thanks in anticipation
