introduced to soul in mid 60's, regular ay various venues , left the scene for awhile as had family then started again at Wheel in 90's and up until Covid restrictions have continued at various venues
been to this venue quite a few times and as the info states there's a large car park and extensive dance floor with bar to the side of the floor. Last night was very flat with the DJ's trying to get the crowd going but for me the music policy let it all down. I stayed for three hours but decided to leave when the music policy went down the commercial pop music type soul with the Tams and RD Taylor being played to entice the crowd onto the floor, even this didn't work. Don't think I'll be here again
