I really think lots of you guys on here would love the Bamboos stuff (check out "Make It Real" featuring Kylie Auldist from their last album) and the new Kylie Auldist solo CD "Made Of Stone" is worth a punt. I played a cut off this on my last Starpoint show............don't ignore the listen again links I post for the show, cos although there will always be stuff on the sow that won't be appreciated on here, I generally play some stuff that will be relevant. It's a good way of getting to hear some of the material on the fringes of what's normally posted/appreciated on Soul Source. Cheers, Mark R

The Mick O'Donnell comp is available now....Fish has them 0116 237 5461. It's a good CD for "real soul" enthusiasts mate. There's a cut from that Stephanie Pickett CD, a 2009 remix of the popular Maurice cut from his CD.....plus, plus, plus!! VG value for money....lots of tracks and most gud uns! With Chuck Jackson's impending appearance at Prestatyn Legends Weekender in October, a question I've often pondered comes forefront in my mind. Can anyone tell me when Chuck Jackson appeared at Hinckley in the 80's? Actual date would be brilliant, but year would be good enough! I was there, I do know that, and can often remember these sort of dates, but not this one! Did I dream this, or does anyone else remember him getting carried away, pulling his leather bomber jacket off, swinging it around his head like a lasso and throwing it..........only problem was, I assume he let go at the wrong time and it flew backwards onto the drummer!!! LOL!! If this isn't true, I've had a strange dream somewhere down the line, but I always recalled this happening! Cheers, Mark R

Only just seen this thread........would love her to get the joy out of music and it's associated social that I have (and continue to have).........doesn't need to be soul music, just a love of music..............BUT.......what really made me smile was the thought of my avatar (look left) which I've had for a while, which is the cover that my daughter made for a small CD compilation which she picked the tracks out for.
