  1. is this still for sale please let me know roger saint
  2. There isn't much new stuff around available in my preferred format (vinyl) so when something does come up that I want to buy - why is the shipping so expensive? It's happened a few times recently (again this morning) that a 7" single costs $15 then they want $56 to ship it - which has put me off from buying as it is just too expensive. $56 is way over the usual cost of shipping for a second hand single. Why is that? It is as if they don't want the sale?
  3. Very sad news - I'm remembering some really good times and a lot of laughs back in the late 70s and early 80s. Sadly we didn't meet up very often in more recent years. RIP Mick, No more pain. Lots of love - Sue & Roger
  4. Good afternoon. There was a tragic accident in our house this morning and now I need another copy of a 7" on Rainbow by Maurice Brooks: A side is Once I was a Colored Man and B is She Made a Man out of Me. Can anyone help?
  5. Hi everyone! Went out last night to a live show by Earl Thomas (and the Royal Guard) at Woodford Halse Social Club organised by The Great Central Blues Club (Craig & Alison Cutler). Mr Thomas and his backing band were excellent and we really enjoyed them. The venue is very nice with a reasonable bar and room to dance - what more could you want. This is the second of the GCBC events we have been to and both have been a great evening's entertainment. We found out about them through local advertising and thought some of you may be interested in future events so we have pasted some internet links and contact details below. We will definitely be going to more of these events in the future - so maybe see you there........................................ All the best, Roger and Sue x https://www.bluesmatters.com/locations/great-central-blues-club/ www.facebook/greatcentralblues info@eydonlivemusic.co.uk
  6. Hi, This is by a group called Splash featuring August Collins (Lead). The song is called "So Long Joe" on Blue Soul Records (#101B). The A side is "Who is Your Friend" (#101A). Issued in 1973. Hope this is useful - Roger
  7. This is indeed very sad news. Gil - wherever you are now, thank you for all your brilliant music, your deep and powerful lyrics also the poetry and books. I am a huge fan of many years, very lucky to have seen you live back in 1991 in Oxford - you and the band gave us a brilliant set with a great sense of humour running all the way through it. One of the best - wish I'd seen you more times...... You have moved on but your voice and its message will continue to be heard through your work. RIP Sue xx
