  1. "Dudley steve has one i think he got it off ebay? I asked him it he fancied selling it but i didn't realise it went for that kind of money(i could think of much better records to spend that kind of money on), funnilly enough i think he got the hump with me as i've not heard off him since" I got it form ebay a few years back..its booked at £1200 now I think? Dudley Steve got it from Phil on here a bit beaten up for £700 ish....that will be the copyt that Chalky is talking about. 'i've seen a more than a handfull go through eBay over the last 5 years - all to DJs... Not as rare as some would have you think.' Wonder where all these copies that went through ebay are? What prices did they go for through ebay on average? Roger had his one on his list for £1000 a while back as well.....
  2. Don't do it John! The flip 'Did You Mean' is one of the best mid tempo soul records ever!! Joel
  3. Can anyone help out with a price on this please?
  4. 'Not controversial at all mate. There are plenty of people who don't like it, me for one, although i prefer One Day to You're The One. Not everyone can like every new big tune that comes along. There was a big thread on Look At Your Box about it a while back.' I like it and agree with One Day being miles better than the other side, but theres plenty to get excited about apart from this. Having said that if i saw one knocking about i'd buy it for a tenner....loads of far worse records selling for a lot more. Not sure about having to 'up your game' though without one...??
  5. Whats a realistic value on The Premiers - If You Love Was True - Troy 1002 (not with Call Me on the flip) Thanks! JM
  6. Passions seems to been a lot less than last time? Didn't it get nearly £2000???
  7. JM has it at £300 too so this is a great price!

  11. Bit of an aquired taste I think. Everytime I've played it to someone they've either loved it or been horrified. Whats a mint issue worth?
  12. brilliant /Cardiff...image16718.html
  13. Anyone heard the Eric Tig that Andy D. has got?? Noticed its not on Georgia Soul's discog of the label.....wondered if its any good..... Also does anyone have a full soundfile of Richard Marks 'Did You Ever Lose Something' please?? All in all a tidy label!
  14. Thats true i suppose Pete....
  15. So surely the second issue should be sold as such ie: NOT for anywhere near the money for a proper one..... Will look for a white DJ copy then I think.
  16. Hmmmm always thought it looked a little funny...mine has the bubbled paper. Took the fact that it had been bought from one of the major dealers to be a guarantee it was a proper copy, not at all interested in having essentially a second issue of it. So is the genuine 60's press a white demo on styrene but with a better glue holding the label on basically?
  17. I'm confused with this...I bought mine a few years back as an original off a very reputable dealer yet it looks like the yellow one on styrene above....will check the numbers when i get in.... Whats the story then...it was issued and then people over here re-issued it?? What does a true US original look like then?? And is there a price difference between them?? Thanks, JM
  18. Liberty on BASF flip is awful cheesy pop vocal
  19. 'break good and general rhythm of the track ...vocal not so imo....edit required' I'd agree not the greatest vocal but i've heard FAR worse! Love Ray & The Blue Satins too but the vocal is frankly, rubbish, yet the record works......very much so. Also, any Sugar & Sweet record.....she can't sing full stop.
  20. I'm really surprised at people's thoughts on this record....thought it was quite highly regarded....great record imho....the slow bit makes it for me....
