  2. Looking for 'Betrothal / Lets Get On Down' on Black World Just got a copy but arrived about 4 grades lower than advertised VG+ upward please pm
  3. Not sure Tony, will have a listen tonight and let you guys know.....can't remember if i've even played it which is terrible really!
  4. I've played this out a few times and it always goes down well with the 60s fans, a lovely girly dancer. I've heard that its Candy & The Kisses on a Belgian only release? Think Pete Smith may know more. I've never seen the pic sleeve before.
  5. Marc played it at Va Va Voom and it sounded good as well
  6. Thanks, i saw it but the condition is only vg and plays with ticks and pops unfortunatley. J

  8. Is this copy from that 50 box that was found last week?
  9. I wouldn't mind some info on acetate restoration.....I have one that could do with some help to put it mildly.
  10. Great little record
  11. Four Ms are from Jarvis Christian College Texas (according to Hoss Allen) and perform an amazing live version of Monkey Time on The Beat!!!! from 1966.
  12. Think Michael R. has a MJH? Great funk record
  13. JM had one set sale
  14. Amazing work the Dig Deeper boys are doing! Really looking forward to this film being finished.
  15. Try Decibel's latest list for Lee rogers mint
  16. Lawd help us Paul, younger fellas like yourself are supposed to be the people we want in the nighters! Hopefully some of the new stuff may filter into those rooms too so we get a bit of everything
  17. Mid tempo funk....its almost an oxymoron!
  18. 'Not everbody loves this kind of stuff but glad the topics kept away from Northern V Funk or any other stuff.. Just a nice thread for those that dig any of this stuff....' 'if it is the future based on these i wont be,,,,,things cant be that be bad we have to resort to this ????? surely.... ' You spoke too soon Steve!
  19. LT & The Soullful Dynamics on Solo is a beautiful lilting crossover cut as well! Nev> Fred Williams is a great record, I think in the Midwest Funk notes it said you can almost imagine the tumbleweeds blowing across the road when you hear it, its very desolate and haunting. Would actually love to hear it out, especially if it does work in a club enviroment. Must get off my arse and get to a night BG is playing at. Touches of the Small Society in there too?! I haven't heard a bad Florentine record yet, love all of the three i know. Does anyone have a discography / label info?
  20. I'd second that
  21. Theron & Darryl i can understand but i'm very surprised that Fred Williams has been well received in soul clubs. The vocal is very soulful but the pace of the 45 isn't condusive to dancefloor action. I'm making it sound like i don't think its fantastic though, which isn't true. Been a fan of it since it came out on the Midwest comp a few years ago.
  22. Quinvy has had one at £500 for a while, and its not sold unless he has forgotten to update his list.
  23. And it did sound good in a venue the size of the Stables, as a record it works in big halls ect. 'Here comes the good part!'
